Lake Wales Has The Talent – Again

<strong>LAKE WALES</strong><strong> 2022</strong> <strong>Head Coach:</strong> Tavaris Johnson <strong>2021 Record:</strong> 9-3 <strong>THE HIGHLANDERS</strong> Perhaps one of the teams that spent the 2021 season way under the radar is back at it and looking real strong for 2022. With only three losses – coming to teams (Lakeland, Auburndale and Ocala Vanguard) that were all high seeds in the state playoffs, here is a program that remains one of the favorites as spring got under way. Other than the 41-14 setback to Lakeland, this program was in control in every game – even in the narrow (14-8) loss to Auburndale – and the season-ending playoff setback (24-13) to Vanguard the Highlanders were in it until the end. With a solid group of seniors coming back along with some quality underclassmen, 2022 is going to be very fun to watch.
