Even though these prospects are still developing, and don’t have much combine experience; it was encouraging to see them step up against the older competition. This group in particular stood out amongst the underclassmen. Here’s a look at five Class of ’25 prospects that made a case to be added into the rankings, and for the first time ever we get a glimpse of some prospects from the Class of ’26.
‘25’s:
Tyler West – Shawnee Mission NW, 5’6”, 140, DB
West walked away from the combine as the MVP of this group. He really impressed in every drill, posting a 4.69 in the 40-yard dash, a 4.53 in the pro agility, and a 7.57 in the 3-Cone. His strong performance didn’t stop there though. West also reached 110 inches in the broad jump, and nearly hit a 35-inch vertical.
Teryn Jackson – Bishop Miege, 5’9”, 145, ATH
While Tyler West picked up the MVP from this group, Jackson finished as a close second. The Bishop Miege product ended up hitting the highest broad jump from this group, with a leap of 112 inches. Jackson was also clocked at 4.72 in the 40, 4.5 in the pro agility, and 7.87 in the 3-Cone.
Amare Williams – Shawnee Mission NW, 5’7”, 150, ATH
Amare Williams joins his fellow SMNW teammate as a standout performer. Williams displayed some impressive speed for his age. The young man led this group with the fastest 40 of the day, with a time of 4.63. Williams posted a respectable vertical as well, as he would hit 30 inches. It’s safe to say the Cougars have some playmakers on the rise.
Jaalan Watson – Olathe North, 5’7”, 130, ATH
Watson not only stood out during the testing portion of the combine, but also during one-on-one’s. He followed closely behind Teryn Jackson for the fastest pro agility time, as he was clocked at 4.51. The Olathe North product would also run a 4.84 40 and a 7.92 3-Cone time. Watson finished with the second highest vertical as well, with a jump of 32 inches.
Desmon Williams – Bonner Springs, 5’10”, 145, WR
Rounding off the Class of ’25 standouts is Desmon Williams out of Bonner Springs. Williams finished the combine with some good numbers.
