<strong>THE SENATORS</strong>
What the 2021 season came down to for this program were streaks.
Three losses to start the season – against Jacksonville Sandalwood (21-15), Jacksonville Parker (9-7) and Jacksonville Andrew Jackson (16-9). Three setbacks by a total of 15 points.
Then came a five-game winning streak against Orange Park Fleming Island (17-14), Jacksonville Atlantic Coast (21-19), Jacksonville Ribault (12-7), Ponte Vedra Nease (14-13) and Jacksonville First Coast (44-14).
Just when this team was headed for a high seed, they would drop the final two regular season games – against Ponte Vedra (28-7) and Jacksonville Manadarin (26-20), and a first-round playoff lost to Orange Park University (35-14).
What this team is looking for this coming season is to be more consistent, and the talent they have coming back – and coming in.
