As we have mentioned before, the 2025 QB class in Georgia has the potential to be historically good. Here, we take a look at the film for some of those noteworthy QB prospects and break down what we see.
Antwann Hill Jr – 6’4 – Houston County
Earlier this month, Hill debuted in our 2025 rankings as the top QB in the state and the 3rd best player overall. After all, we are talking about someone who has received major PO5 offers like Georgia and Ohio State since he was in the 8th grade. With a year of starting experience under his belt, Hill has had to grow up fast. This spring, he was able to show what his starting experience did for him on the field. The one thing I noticed while watching his spring film was how confident of a decision-maker he was. After spending a year of gaining valuable experience and growing into his frame, it seems like he is starting to tie things together and really show how prolific of a passer he can be. He showcases his unbelievable arm strength on film which allows him to fit balls into tight windows and really challenge the defense. If his spring film is any indication of how he will perform this fall, then I would watch out.
Luke Nickel Luke Nickel 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB Milton | 2025 State GA – 6’2 – Milton
By now you probably know that Nickel is one of the most fundamentally sound and accurate QBs in the entire 2025 class. This spring, I saw nothing that wouldn’t validate that claim. Simply put, there is not a throw on the field that Nickel can’t make, especially when it comes to his touch throws. On his spring film, you can see him completing beautiful deep balls over the middle of the field with dead-eye accuracy. He was also very efficient on short and intermediate passes where he showed off some nice spin on the ball with those throws. You can also see him making plays with his legs and throw on the run with ease. From his footwork to his delivery, he is a very fundamentally sound QB that gets it done on the field. As far as 2025 QBs are concerned, Luke Nickel Luke Nickel 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB Milton | 2025 State GA is one of the most well-rounded in the entire country.
Austin Guest – 5’11 – Creekview
I was actually able to get eyes on Guest during his spring game this month and came away impressed. He got off to a slow start, but once he settled in he showed the potential to be one of the best 2025 QBs in the state. When he is on, he has one of the best deep balls in the state and can throw his receivers open. Just by looking at him, you would assume that he lacks arm talent thanks to his size, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Guest has more than enough arm strength to make any throw he wants. That on top of his incredible ability to run the football and make plays outside the pocket makes him a very intriguing prospect. In the short and intermediate passing game, he is incredibly accurate, especially on out routes or any throw to the field side. His entire arsenal was on full display this spring, and it should be extremely fun to see how he develops over the course of his career.
TJ Wilcox – 6’1 – Collins Hill
Wilcox is set to break out in a big way in 2022. In fact, he should be set to become the starting QB for the defending state champions. When watching his spring game film, I was most impressed with his pocket prescience. For the most part, he showed good footwork and poise in the pocket as he sat back and went through his progressions. But when he had to extend the play with his legs, he did a great job of keeping his eyes downfield and climbing the pocket instead of instantly bailing on the play. Wilcox has a longer, windup-style delivery, but he is able to get some power behind his throws and makes good decisions with the ball to keep it out of harm’s way. Because of his arm strength and good decision-making, his longer delivery doesn’t appear to hinder his game the least. If his spring game film is any indication, Collins Hill should have plenty good enough QB play to make another playoff run.
Marcus Romain – 6’1 – Wheeler
When talking about 2025 QBs, Romain is often someone who falls under the radar. Personally, I am extremely high on his ceiling. Why? Because I think he has all the tools to be a future PO5 QB if he can put it all together on the field. He is an incredible athlete with excellent speed, you could argue that he is the best runner from the QB position in the entire class. On top of that, he is able to throw the ball with plenty of spin and velocity to fit it into tight windows. One thing I saw on his spring film that stood out was how well he ran the RPO and play-action game. With his combination of speed and arm strength, defenses will have to find a way to contain both of those things. That alone makes him extremely valuable. After starting last season on varsity, it will be interesting to see how Romain develops in year two.
Christian Langford Christian Langford 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Langston Hughes | 2025 State GA – East Coweta
Like Romain, Langford is another prospect that often goes unnoticed when talking about 2025 GA QBs. Also like Romain, his athleticism gives him a chance to develop into something special by the end of his high school career. While there wasn’t a whole lot of film on him this spring, in the few clips I have seen it is clear that he is a bonafide playmaker. With the ball in his hands in the open field, he almost moves like an RB or WR in space. In the pocket, he can dodge out of the way of defenders and move extremely fluidly. Even with his elite running ability, he always keeps his eyes downfield looking to make a play in the passing game. With a big sophomore season, Langford should find himself climbing up recruiting boards all across the country.
