Prentiss Noland Prentiss Noland 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB Langston Hughes | 2024 State GA – 6’3 – Langston Hughes
As far as 2024 QBs are concerned, Prentiss Noland Prentiss Noland 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB Langston Hughes | 2024 State GA is my favorite in Georgia. From his measurables to his decision-making, I believe Noland is as well-rounded of a QB as you will find across the country. When watching his film from last season, I thought his ability to run the RPO and play-action game would provide extreme value to whichever team he decides to play for at the next level. His ability to make throws to all parts of the field also gives him tons of value. On top of that, he had the production to prove it. After watching his film from this past spring, he looks like an even more accurate and prolific passer. He has the unique ability to throw off-platform and under pressure without sacrificing any accuracy. When at his best, he can place the ball in such a way that his receiver is the only one that has a chance of coming down with it. I am very excited to see how Noland progresses in year 3, as I believe he has an extremely bright future in football and has improved tremendously from year to year.
Christopher Martin Christopher Martin 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Tift County | 2024 State GA – 6’1 – Lee County
Martin is another 2024 QB that burst onto the scene in 2021. Last season, Martin threw for over 20 passing TDs on his way to becoming an All-Region and All-State performer. On top of his production, his film and upside yielded way to offers from schools like Troy and Alcorn State. I would expect plenty of other schools to enter the sweepstakes. The first thing you notice about Martin will you turn on the film is his uncanny ability to navigate the pocket. He shows great footwork when scanning the field, and does a good job of climbing the pocket when he needs to escape. He is also an extremely dangerous playmaker with his legs and has the potential to be a difference-maker in the QB run game. He isn’t someone that will wow you with arm talent, but his decision-making skills are top-notch and he does a great job of throwing his receivers open. I saw a lot of improvement when comparing Martin spring’s film to his 2021 film, and I fully expect him to keep trending upwards.
Jeremy Hecklinski Jeremy Hecklinski 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Walton | 2024 State GA – 6’0 – Walton
Hecklinski split QB duties with Georgia Southern QB signee Zak Rozsman in 2021, but Hecklinski was still extremely productive. Hecklinski threw for just under 1500 yards while completing 60 percent of his passes. He also took care of the ball, which is evident by a 13-2 TD/INT ratio. For comparison, that ratio was 5-7 during his freshman year, so we are talking about a player who has massively improved over the last few seasons. When watching the tape, you can’t help but notice his gun-slinger playstyle. He has a long windup style delivery and can rip the ball downfield. He also has a unique ability to scramble and keep his eyes downfield. Some of the throws he makes could be considered dangerous, but he has a strong arm and shows confidence in that arm. He can throw across his body or off his back foot without sacrificing any velocity on the ball. Hecklinski’s recruitment has yet to start picking up, but another big season with full control of the offense should surely change that.
Curt Clark – 6’1 – Spalding
Clark has spent the past two seasons waiting in the shadows for Spalding, and he should get a chance to prove what he can do with complete control of the offense in 2022. Clark is a player that I had not seen on film before, and I came away very impressed after watching some clips. While he is raw, he is without a doubt one of the most athletic QBs in the state with true dual-threat ability. As a runner, he moves very fluidly and can make defenders miss with a juke move just like a receiver or running back. As a passer, his most impressive attribute has to be his mechanics and footwork in the pocket. He steps into his throws and has a great deep ball because of it. Clark is a player I have on my radar after spring, and you should too.
