Plenty of potential division one talent exists in this class. We are going to take a look at several prospects to keep an eye on in the defensive line position groupings. Many prospects are guys you are going to want to keep an eye over the next few seasons.
Landon Canady Landon Canady 6'2" | 320 lbs | DL Little Rock Parkview | 2025 State AR -Little Rock Parkview- 6’2” 298-Pounds
Canady is a powerhouse along the defensive front. He has impressive versatility and can play the defensive tackle or the edge positions with equal effectiveness. Canady is the type of defensive lineman that can effectively shut down a rushing attack. He has played on both sides of the ball in the past and I would not be surprised to see him play on the offensive line at times. The chances of Canady seeing some snaps this season are good and he should cause opposing offensive lines plenty of headaches in the process.
Nykkisson Wimberly Nykkisson Wimberly 6'1" | 255 lbs | DL Arkadelphia | 2025 State AR -Arkadelphia-6’1” 255-Pounds
What always sticks out to me regarding Wimberly is just how quick he is out of the snap and getting into the backfield. He has that rare mix of power and speed that makes you sit up and take notice. Wimberly is versatile enough play the tackle position as well as line up at the defensive end spots. Arkadelphia is extremely talented along the defensive front, and I expect Wimberly to have a big season for them. Keep an eye on Wimberly, he is going to open some eyes this season.
Danny Johnson Danny Johnson 6'1" | 280 lbs | DL Pine Bluff | 2025 State AR -Pine Bluff-6’0” 260-Pounds
Johnson has the talent to take a game over when it comes disrupting the offensive flow. He is a powerful lineman that can put pressure on the quarterback. Johnson is a prospect that will not quit on a play. He makes an effort to always be around the ball carrier. Pine Bluff has been a talented team the past few seasons and I do not expect anything to the contrary in 2022. The work ethic is there with this talented defensive lineman, and I expect a big couple of seasons from Johnson.
Keon Stallings Keon Stallings 6'3" | 250 lbs | DL Nettelton | 2025 State AR -Nettleton-6’2” 205-Pounds
From the edge position is where Stallings will do his damage. He is a defensive end that uses his speed well to keep opposing offensive lineman off balance. Stallings forces the opposing offensive line to account for him with his quickness. Stallings has the talent to play along the defensive line or get some work in at the linebacker position as well. The bottom line is he will be a prospect to keep an eye on this coming football season.
Justice Hills Justice Hills 6'1" | 220 lbs | DL Conway | 2025 State AR -Conway-6’0 200-Pounds
The instincts and speed that Hills plays with are extremely impressive. He times the snap well and can disrupt both the rushing and passing games of the opposing offense. Hills uses his speed well to defeat blocks from opposing offensive lineman. The Wampus Cats are a talented team this season and I expect Hills to see plenty of snaps this season. He has the potential to cause plenty of headaches for opposing offenses this season.
