WR Traevin Hardy – Mountain View HS 2023
Hardy is coming into his senior year as a player to watch for the Mavericks. Running an 11.1 100m dash in the track circuit this season Hardy has the top end speed to threaten defenses down the field. To go with his speed his route running is improving and he has strong hands to pluck the football out of the air. Look for him to make a big impact this year on the edge for the Mavericks
DB Troy Wilkey Troy Wilkey 5'9" | 165 lbs | DB Rocky Mountain HS | 2023 State ID – Rocky Mountain HS 2023
Wilkey is possibly the best safety in the state with great instincts he is always around the football. High football IQ that allows him to recognize and diagnose plays he is constantly making impact plays in the back end of the defense. Has great ball skills with a lightning quick trigger that allows him to break on the football and fill the alley quickly. He will have a monster season at Rocky Mountain.
DL Bryce Mundy – Mountain View HS 2023
Mundy is another emerging player for Mountain View as he makes the jump up from Junior Varsity. Mundy has a high motor with a solid base that allows him to have some positional flexibility along the defensive front. Looking to lead a group for Mountain View that lost quite a bit in production last year Mundy should be one of the senior leaders along the front seven for Mountain View.
OL Preston Slack Preston Slack 6'2" | 255 lbs | OL Rocky Mountain HS | 2023 State ID – Rocky Mountain HS 2023
Slack is part of one of the top offensive line units in the state of Idaho. A big time player for a big time program at Rocky Mountain, Slack has heavy hands that stop defenders in their tracks. Slack plays with a solid base and consistently finishes his defenders on blocks. Look for him to be a force along a very good offensive line this season.
TE Troy Grizzle – Mountain View HS 2024
Grizzle is another Maverick making the jump from Junior Varsity into the Varsity ranks this season. He is a long athlete who does the majority of his work in the trenches. A willing blocker at the TE position, Grizzle will look to help fill the production that left the Mavericks via Senior Graduation.
LB Max Maile – Mountain View HS 2023
Maile is one of the top returning linebackers in the 5A SIC this year. A hard nosed defender who has a high football IQ. He recognize plays quickly and is able to fill down hill along with running sideline to sideline. Look for Maile to be one of the top tacklers this year for Mountain View.
