Carolina XPosure RDU Showcase Top Performers: Quarterbacks

The first event in the RDU Region was a big sucess with lots of talented players.  I am now doing reviews on the top players in their positional groups.  The first group up for review are the Quarterbacks. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="335652" first="Joshua" last="Anderson"], 6’1" 190, (No. 7 Overall/No.5 QB), Middle Creek HS</strong>.  He has a strong arm and a solid throwing action with a quick release.  Joshua delivered accurate medium and long-range passes on target.  He displayed the ability to deliver accurate passes on target while moving.  Joshua displayed confidence and impressed me with his performance throughout the event.  His performance resulted in being named MVP for the quarterback group.  Joshua is expected to draw a lot of recruiting attention during the upcoming season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="271552" first="Johnathan" last="Montague Jr"]., 6’1" 190, (No. 4 Overall/No. 3 QB), Knightdale HS</strong>.  He displayed an improved accuracy and arm strength in the three showcases that he has participated in over the past weeks.  Johnathan has been training hard during the off-season and the results shown in the showcases.  He is an accurate passer with good arm strength who can run to make him a dual-threat quarterback.  Johnathan ran a 4.69, 40-yard run which will enable him to gain big yardage when he tucks it and run.  I am looking to watching him in action during the upcoming season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="203888" first="Mason" last="Fortune"], 6’2" 185, (No. 3 Overall/No. 2 QB), Millbrook HS</strong>.  Mason put up big numbers during the past season.  He delivered long-range passes on target during the drills on Saturday.  He has a strong arm, good footwork, and throwing motion.  Mason impressed during the drills with his throwing accuracy and throwing while on the run.  I have watched a lot of his film and in person on the sideline during the past season.  The 2024 prospect continues to impress and has the D1 skillset to succeed at the next level. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="336680" first="Gabe" last="Weinberg"], 6’4" 180, (NC 2023 Prospect), Broughton HS</strong>.  He displayed a quick release along with a smooth throwing action.  Gabe delivered accurate short and medium range passes in tight spaces on target.  On film, he remained calm while under pressure to deliver accurate passes on target.  Gabe displayed the ability to deliver accurate passes while on the run.  He provided a solid performance throughout the event.  Gabe is expected to direct the offensive unit during the upcoming season and generate recruiting interest. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="163836" first="Lucas" last="Mullins"], 5’9" 160, (No. 87 Overall/No. 16 QB), Green Hope HS</strong>.  He displayed a smooth throwing action and good arm strength.  Lucas delivered accurate short and medium range passes on target.  He displayed the ability to deliver accurate passes while moving.  Lucas displayed good speed and ability to make the initial defender miss.  He gains yards when he decides to tuck it and run.  Lucas had a steady performance throughout the event.
