With a successful past, this team hadn't been in a situation where they were among the best in the state for a long time. But just as fast as they rose to the top, a veteran team – Deerfield Beach – put them in their place quickly, beating the Bobcats twice in three games – the first in the regular season – and the dagger in the state playoffs, 21-7.
