<strong>THE VIKINGS</strong>
As fans, players and coaches look back at last season, the first thing that stands out is the inconsistency this team played with.
While they advanced to the state playoffs and even won a game (39-0 over Sarasota Cardinal Mooney), the rest of the year was indeed up and down.
While wins over Naples Lely (21-20), Port Charlotte (30-16), Naples Gulf Coast (36-28), Naples First Baptist (31-19) and Cardinal Mooney (28-17) in the regular season, the five losses that they went through became frustrating.
While those setbacks came against some impressive teams, several became lopsided, and as they started spring practice, there was a clear objective – and each and every player understood the work that needs to be put in.
