There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.
Javon Garry– Eustis High c/o 23
5’9 185lbs
Garry was the workhorse back last season for the Eustis Panthers and helped guide them to a 7-3 record. In 2021 he rushed for 685 yards, averaged over 5 yards per carry with eight touchdowns and two 100 yard rushing games. He also registered six catches for 22 yards. Runs with a natural low center of gravity, has quick feet and acceleration, flashes the ability to run through tackles with power. He’s a back that could challenge as the top rushing leader in the district in 2022. He’s an outstanding student with a 4.7 GPA!

Dante Johnson-Turner- Mount Dora High c/o 23
5’7 170lbs
The Mount Dora Hurricanes will look to lean on Turner this season to be the driving force for a potential playoff berth. In 2021 he rushed for 1500+ yards, averaged and averaged 8 yards per carry. He had a massive game against Horizon where he rushed for 307 yards and four touchdowns! Turner shows good vision and burst to get to the numbers for big yards, runs hard with good contact balance and has open field speed. He’s one of the top backs in the district, coaches need to check him out ASAP.

Troy Saladin- Umatilla High c/o 24
Saladin is listed as a quarterback for Umatilla, but I wanted to add him with the backs because he’s the team’s leading returning rusher in 2022. Last season he rushed for 469 yards, averaged over five yards per carry with five rushing touchdowns and two 100-yard rushing games. He also passed for 233 yards, completing 58% of his passes with a touchdown through the air. Versatile player that does a good job in the passing game, shows the ability to take short passes and turn them into big plays, can run between the tackles and there’s a player that shows potential to have a big season in 2022.
