2024 Class: Defensive Back Superlatives

There is an abundance of highly talented players in the class.  The next group in the class includes players who are super-athletic, dominant in their skillset, possess speed, agility, quickness, and are technique-sound.  The players listed possess a combination of the defensive back superlatives. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="332059" first="Jurnee" last="Lattimore"], 5’10" 145, (No. 46 Overall/No. 1 DB), North Gaston HS</strong>.  Jurnee displayed patience and reacted quickly to play for the stop.  He displayed good technique on tackles made in the open field.  Jurnee displayed good lateral movement and use of long arms to cover receivers, making it difficult to complete a pass against him.  He is expected to continue his high level of play during the upcoming season.  Jurnee’s participation in Summer Prospect Camps will generate recruiting interest for him. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="148051" first="Ziquel" last="Adams"], 5’11" 175, (No. 48, Overall/No. 2 DB), Mooresville HS</strong>.  Ziquel displayed patience and reacted quickly to make the stop.  He displayed good technique on tackles made in the open field.  Ziquel moved well laterally and good use of long arms to blanket receivers, making it difficult to complete a pass against him.  He finished the season with 29 total tackles, 11 were solo tackles.  He is expected to lead the defensive secondary during the upcoming season.  Ziquel’s participation in Summer Prospect Camps will generate recruiting interest for him. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="120434" first="Jaden" last="Brandon"], 6’0" 170, (No. 55 Overall/No. 3 DB), Hough HS</strong>.  Jaden displayed good reaction to the play for the stop.
