Dutch Fork has almost become the stand in high school football across the state. The Silver Foxes won five straight Class 5A titles and played in the title game this past season. It comes as no surprise they are well represented in the Class of 2023 rankings.
They have four players inside the top 55 and two players that are the top players at their respective positions.
RB [player_tooltip player_id="91136" first="Jarvis" last="Green"]: No. 1 RB (#6 overall)
Green is starting to pick up plenty of momentum in recruiting. He has offers from Memphis. Wofford, Appalachian State and James Madison among others. He rushed for over 1700 yards last year and could reach 2,000 this season. He’s also a threat in the receiving game, where he had 33 catches for 448 yards.
DB [player_tooltip player_id="262550" first="Landon" last="Danley"]: No. 1 DB (#22 overall)
Daley is a player with a high motor and a high ceiling. A safety that stands 6-2 and weighs 190 pounds, he isn’t afraid to approach the line of scrimmage and looks for the big-hit. He recently picked up a Wofford offer and more are sure to come with a strong senior season.
QB [player_tooltip player_id="44974" first="Aliam" last="Appler"]: No. 9 QB (#51 overall)
Appler is a bit of an unknown but shows all the skills to be successful. He played a backup role last season but should take the reins of the Silver Foxes high powered attack this season. He’s 6’4” with a strong arm. He sits in the pocket well but can tuck it and run if needed.
LB [player_tooltip player_id="132398" first="Chandler" last="Perry"]: No. 6 LB (#56 overall)
The Silver Foxes defense could be better than last season. Perry is a tackling machine from his linebacker spot. He had 141 tackles last season with four forced fumbles and an interception. He moves sideline-to-sideline very well and sheds blocks at the point of attack. Picked up a Charleston Southern offer this month.
LB [player_tooltip player_id="262678" first="Jaylen" last="Hinton"]: No. 26 LB (#156 overall)
Hinton is a player that has a chance to skyrocket up the rankings with a solid senior season. He’s a bit undersized but makes up for it with his speed and ability to avoid blocks. He will take more a full-time role this season and that should provide plenty of film.
LB [player_tooltip player_id="336148" first="John" last="Buetow"]: No. 29 LB (#180 overall)
Buetow was not ranked the last go around but he fits into that typical Silver Foxes linebacker. He’s just under 6’ and 200 pounds but his speed and knack for finding the ball is what makes him standout. He’s physical and plays with a fearless motor.
