2023 Rankings Newcomers: QB

<em>Breaking down the new additions at the QB position in PRZ's latest edition of its <a href="https://prepredzone.com/washington/rankings/2023-rankings/">Washington 2023 Player Rankings</a>. [player_tooltip player_id="333687" first="Brady" last="McKelheer"] jumped into PRZ's top-5 2023 QBs in Washington and [player_tooltip player_id="333756" first="Payton" last="Faker"] has taken several D-I visits this offseason. These are some senior QBs to watch next season. </em> <b>[player_tooltip player_id="333687" first="Brady" last="McKelheer"]- QB, Eastside Catholic</b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">McKelheer was efficient and productive in his junior season completing nearly 60% of his passes for over 2,000 yards and 16 TDs. He shows plus arm strength and accuracy pushing the ball downfield. He can drive the ball into tight windows over the middle and put the ball in spots outside the numbers. He moves well in the pocket and delivers the ball on time under pressure. He can roll out of the pocket on play fakes and throw off-platform with accuracy. He's a QB with a big arm that can spread the ball around the field and improvise when plays break down. He has a high, natural release and finishes through his throws downfield. He throws off a solid base in the pocket but could benefit from cleaning up his footwork/mechanics heading into next season. He can extend plays and pick up chunks of yards with his legs showing good speed in space.
