Highland has constantly been one of the top programs in all of Idaho and after making it to another state championship game this year’s squad will be hungry to get back. Here are some of the top returning players for the Rams along with some players to watch out for:
LB Mason Fulmer – 2023
Fulmer is a thumper when it comes to playing linebacker, constantly making impact hits on the defensive side of the football. He is undersized for an inside linebacker but makes up for it with good speed and quick reaction times. He is one of the most sure tacklers I have seen on tape, meaning that he rarely misses his intended target. Look for him to make an impact all year for the Rams.
QB Drew Hymas – 2024
A young signal caller that is making the transition from Junior Varsity to the Varsity ranks, look for Hymas to set right into the leadership role for the Rams. He is a plus athlete with good mobility and is improving in his lower half. Really does a good job of staying composed in the pocket and will continue to grow into a better thrower of the football as he ages.
WR Jackson Riddle – 2024
Riddle is a do it all player for the Rams, last year he lined up in the backfield and was able to make an impact when ever he touched the football. Riddle has good speed and makes defenders miss in the open field showing that he has a little wiggle to his game. Look for him to be on of the top players for the rams in a multitude of different positions.
LB Colton George Colton George 6'0" | 190 lbs | LB Highland | 2024 State ID – 2024
George can just flat-out ball, one of the few sophomores in the state that jumps out at you on tape. He is a sure tackler, plays with a high motor and does not ever give up on plays. He has good speed and block scheme recognition that allows him to read plays quickly. He is not shy when it comes to contact and can all drop out into coverage. He will be one of the top tacklers in the state as a Junior.
