2022 Georgia Future Stars: 2026 Quarterback Selections
Every year since 2011, the Georgia Future Stars program has identified dozens, if not hundreds, of elite middle school athletes in the Peach State. The Future Stars Game started as an event to provide a student-athlete with an elite event in a college environment. It has quickly become a must-see event, if you want to know who the next greats are. Here is a look at the 2026 Quarterbacks, selected to play on the 8th grade Georgia Future Stars team.
Tayt Snellgrove
In a state as rich in Quarterback talent as Georgia is, if an athlete is selected for this Future Stars team, you know they have to be on another level. Snellgrove is a dual-threat guy who can make a lot of very good things happen when the ball is in his hands. Not the tallest kid right now at just 5-foot-9 and 140 pounds, but throw the measurements out the window when it comes to his ability. The Valdosta native can scramble to pick up yards, scramble to keep passing plays alive or straight up beat you with his arm. Also a very talented kid on the track, having wrapped up titles in the 4×400, 1600M, 800M and 400M this past spring for Pine Grove Middle School. If he continues to grow, there’s a lot of swag in his game and I can see a very clear resemblance to how Johnny Manziel looked in college.
Colt Warnock
Ahead of moving on to Northside High School to become an Eagle next year, Warnock has one final middle school game to show off what he can do. Warnock is no stranger the competition of the Future Stars program, as he was selected to the team last year as a Linebacker on the seventh grade team. The fact that he was selected as a Linebacker is a good indication of the size and power of this prospect, as he currently stands 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds. While Snellgrove can make it happen with his legs, Warnock is undoubtedly a big pocket passer. He has an absolute cannon for an arm and loves to show off his ability on deep routes. Also a pitcher on the baseball diamond, I expect Warnock to stand tall in the pocket, not get rattled and play pitch and catch with his talented Wide Receivers.
