Although there are plenty of talented football players being shown on multiple recruiting sources, there are still many players who have tons of talent but little spotlight. Today, we are going to discuss some talented sleepers who have been given little to no offers.
Brody Benke Brody Benke 6'4" | 235 lbs | ATH Highlands | 2024 State KY QB/WR | 6-4, 220lbs. Class of 2024 | Highlands High School | Fort Thomas, Kentucky | Tape:
Brody is an elite offensive threat whenever he steps foot onto the field. Not only can he effectively make deep accurate throws under pressure, but can also receive the football off 1v1 routes. A one-of-a-kind utility player for an offense, Brody utilizes his athletic physique through his magnificent footwork when throwing and receiving the football. What is exciting is that Brody still has 2 years of high school ball to further develop his game and be able to take his talents to the next level. Keep an eye out for Brody in the 2022 football season.
Zackarrey Kelley WR |6-0, 180lbs. Class of 2023 | Great Crossing High School | Georgetown, Kentucky | Tape:
It is truly astonishing how Zackarrey Kelley has no current offers. After watching his tape, Kelley is easily added to the list of some of the most athletic receivers in the state. Although people may know Kelley from his unreal one-handed grab in the endzone last season, he has also shown his athleticism in more receptions that same season. Kelley has unnatural hops when going up for the ball, and also has incredible acceleration off the line of scrimmage. Stay tuned this fall season as Kelley will continue to prove himself that he should be in the mix of names for top receivers in the state.
Brady Hensley | 6-0, 196lbs. Class of 2024 | Madison Central High School | Richmond, Kentucky | Tape:
Brady is another player with some spotlight but should be receiving a lot more with his stellar talent. The sophomore posted an incredible 2021 season, being named an all-state running back, rushing for 1800 yards, and running for 34 rushing touchdowns. What is mind-blowing about Brady is that he is a bully when he has the football. With the strength of a lineman and the quickness of a receiver, Brady Hensley is a difficult force to stop. His sharp jabs past the defenders allow him to get onto the open field and nobody is going to catch up to him. Expect Brady to see more praise from recruiters in the near future as this kid is the real deal.
Kory Combs LB | 6-0, 190lbs. Class of 2025 | Breathitt County High School | Jackson, Kentucky | Tape:
For only being a freshman, Kory already possesses skills at the linebacker position like a 4-year starter. This kid is a unique talent that is skilled at reading the offense. Kory plays aggressive for a linebacker and will use his skills in reading the offense by picking off throws and putting pressure on the quarterback in a blitz. He also hits hard and easily takes down whoever he tackles. Kory is a terrifying brute of a football player who has been slept on so far in his early high school football career. Make sure to watch this kid continue to develop his game which will lead to him getting more offers.
Ethan Crider ATH | 5-9, 185lbs. Class of 2023 | Thomas Nelson High School | Bardstown, Kentucky | Tape:
Ethan is a freakish athlete who can play on both sides of the ball. As a running back, Ethan is amazing at breaking up tackles and getting extra yardage after contact. For a defender ready to tackle Crider it’s like they are about to run into a moving brick wall. Ethan also plays linebacker and is excellent at reading the offense and bullying offensive tackles to get toward the quarterback. It’s unbelievable as although Ethan may be a little smaller than other linebackers, he tackles just as brutal as a defensive tackle on the line. Ethan’s strength and coordination as a running back and linebacker should not go unnoticed. It is near disrespectful that this kid has not gotten much interest and should be receiving more in his upcoming senior season.
