After a brief hiatus, we return to our previously scheduled series of looking at Pennsylvania’s early standouts in the class of 2025. After looking at the quarterback and running back positions, we move to the wide receivers, where a strong group is separating themselves early on. In our initial 2025 class rankings, we have three wide receivers ranked as well as four wide receivers on our watch list, who will be ranked in our next class update most likely. Micahel Scott (Dallastown): Dallastown has themselves quite the nice wide receiver group to go along with 2023 standout [player_tooltip player_id="87844" first="Kenny" last="Johnson"], the Wildcats also have [player_tooltip player_id="142837" first="Michael" last="Scott"] (no, not that [player_tooltip player_id="142837" first="Michael" last="Scott"]) as part of their receivers group. A true slot wide receiver, Scott currently stands at 5-foot-9, 160-pounds but has shown great speed as well as really strong route running abilities for a rising sophomore. He adapts well to the ball as it’s in the air and overall, shows just everything you look for in potential class’s top overall wide receiver. As a freshman, he recorded 33 receptions for 457-yards and four touchdowns. HUDL: Freshman Varsity Full season Highlight [player_tooltip player_id="148535" first="Niko" last="Andrews"] (Pine Richland) Pine Richland over the years has produced some terrific talent and Andrews leads the way in their class of 2025. We couldn’t find any stats for Andrews, but the rising sophomore was impressive on tape for the Rams, showing a lot of things that even some older wide receivers can’t do. He runs solid and sound routes while showing soft hands and the ability to adjust to the ball in the air, whether it’s a contested-catch, a pass along the sideline, or even a throw into the middle of several defenders. Overall, a really strong showing as a freshman and someone we can see developing into a major talent for Pine Richland. HUDL: Freshman Season [player_tooltip player_id="179420" first="Jayden" last="Lindsey"] (Bishp Canevin) A slot and outside receiver, Lindsay may be on the smaller side right now at 5-foot-6 but that doesn’t stop him from being a playmaker for Bishop Canevin. Lindsey isn’t intimidated by going up against bigger defenders and uses his size and speed to his advantage. He runs strong routes and combined with his speed, if a cornerback makes any sort of mistake, it could be a pass that goes for six. He plays bigger than his actual size thanks to what appears to be a quality vertical, allowing him to go up and make plays both on offense and defense. HUDL: Freshman Season Highlights [player_tooltip player_id="264266" first="Devontae" last="Robinson"] (Monessen) Not much is out there on Robinson for myself to watch and unfortunately, I have yet to see him play live. A two-sport athlete, standing out both on the gridiron and the hardcourt, Robinson is already proving to be a strong athlete. While we have him ranked as a wide receiver, he also shows quite a bit of promise on the defensive side of the ball as well. Overall, Robinson is showing promise as a plus athlete. [player_tooltip player_id="145459" first="Alijah" last="Turner"] (St. Joseph’s Prep) There’s no program in Pennsylvania producing top-tier talent like St. Joes Prep and they of course have several notable 2025 standouts already. One of those standouts is Turner, Turner is already developing into a star wide receiver for Hawks in large part thanks to his already quality size and great speed. You’ll be hearing a lot about Turner over the next few years.
Other Standouts:
Aaron Bowers (Loysburg): 29 receptions, 503 yards, seven touchdowns Blake Pisarcik (Brockway): 39 receptions, 634 yards, five touchdowns Darian Nelson (Plum): 23 receptions, 268 yards, three touchdowns
