Let’s dive into the biggest group in New Jersey that is best known as Group V. This is arguably the most competitive level in the state.

<span style="font-size: 18pt;"><strong>RB., [player_tooltip player_id="181958" first="Brandon" last="Boria"], Cherokee </strong></span>
Mr. Boria had an impressive junior year. He earned First- Team All- Conference and First- Team All- State. Boria is a premier back that can break loose for a long run at any given time. He is well built with a powerful lower body. Boria is a patient runner with very good vision. He does a good job pressing the line of scrimmage and uses his explosiveness to get to the second level. Boria is also a good receiver out of the backfield turning flat routes into large gains. He finished his junior year with 1,620 yards on 196 carries and 20 TD’s. Also, hauled in 6 catches for 126 yards and two scores. Boria will be a key returner heading into next season. He is arguably one of the best returning backs in South Jersey.
<span style="font-size: 18pt;"><strong>QB, [player_tooltip player_id="214413" first="Frankie" last="Garbolino"] , North Brunswick </strong></span>
Mr. Garbolino had a solid junior season. He led his team to the Group 5 playoffs. Garbolino has good size and intelligence. He does a good job fitting balls into tight windows and has good accuracy on short and intermediate throws. Garbolino gets the ball out quickly and he’s a good decision maker. He is always calm, cool, and collective in the pocket and will rarely get rattled. His junior year was impressive. He went 150-248, 1857 yards, 23 TD’s and 11 INT’s. Garbolino proved he has what it takes to be a winner and has shown flashes of great leadership qualities. Make sure you keep your eyes on him as we get closer to the season.
<span style="font-size: 18pt;"><strong>LB, Joe Abill, Clifton</strong></span>
Mr. Clifton was dominant in 2021. He was arguably the best player on the defense. Abill has good size and length. He has very good lateral quickness and closing speed as well. Abill has natural instincts and big time hitting ability. He has no problem throwing his body around. He finished his junior season collecting 9 sacks, 68 tackles, 1 TFL, and 1 FR. Abill will look to pick up where in left off in 2022.
<span style="font-size: 18pt;"><strong>DL, [player_tooltip player_id=’336414’ first=’Emmanuel’ last=’Doivilus’], Vineland</strong></span>
Mr. Doivilus had a solid junior year. Doivilus has good size and does a good job creating penetration. He has a good feel for the game and doesn’t get pushed back easily. Doivilus creates lanes for linebackers to blitz freely. He finished the year with 2 sacks and 85 tackles. Doivilus is a key piece for this defense and will need him to be the leader for this season. He will perform at a high level and generate college interests.
