Arguably the top player on the field was Bernalillo WR Mason Espinda-McChriston Mason Espinda-McChriston 6'2" | 175 lbs | ATH Bernalillo | 2024 State NM -Mcchriston, who made several acrobatic catches. And, as you would expect in a game between friends, the contest between NM Legacy and NM Heat got, shall we say, a little heated at times. Barking between the two talented teams began soon after the first snap and crescendoed when each team’s defense intercepted a pass on consecutive possessions.
Finally, the coaches stepped in and calm was restored. And the hard-fought battle resumed.
