As the Prep Redzone Showcase came to Naples and the Paradise Sports Complex last Sunday, the objective was not only to evaluate the many athletes who came out, but to give them an edge as spring football is now right around the corner.
As we have given you a look at the quarterbacks, receivers and linemen who performed during the three hours, our attention today is one a group of running backs, who went through testing, drills and one-on-one competition as Prep Redzone travels the country, spotlighting some of the emerging talent for the 2022 season.
Here is a look at some of the running backs who had the chance to jump on the radar:
CLASS OF 2023
Tocarrum Brown, FB, 6-0, 212, Arcadia Desoto. Here is someone who headed to Naples with the idea of grabbing the spotlight – and he did not disappoint. Every drill, test and one-on-one, he competed hard and with a purpose. While he is not on many radar screens the 2022 season is indeed the perfect forum for him to showcase his skills. In addition to playing the fullback position, he is also a solid linebacker, giving his team an opportunity to play him on both sides of the ball.
Dominic Coroscio, Fort Lauderdale Archbishop McCarthy. Yet another rising senior who headed to the showcase to get some attention, and while he played fullback for the Mavericks, his ability to catch the ball and make some cuts were on display as well. Did good in his testing and was also impressive with the drills, giving the coaches a chance to see exactly what he brings to the table.

Kevin Everhart, 5-10, 185, Bradenton Lakewood Ranch. Here is someone who impressed in every phase of the event, drawing praise from the coaches – while performing well all day. This is a very athletic football player who can lineup at multiple positions. He is well coached and does extremely well in the classroom, opening up many avenues when it comes to recruiting.

CLASS OF 2024
Zailin Jackson, Moore Haven. Makes his way north after playing at Clewiston this past season. A versatile talent who can play on both sides of the ball as a running back and as a linebacker. Showed the he is a hard worker – in all phases of the showcase, which opened some eyes. This is a football talent who has a passion for the game. Will play a key role this spring and summer.

Tayshaun Jamison, 5-7, 140. Clearwater. Watching him perform throughout the day, there was never any doubt that this is a gifted football player who is willing to do what it takes to do well in high school and make a major impact. His testing was solid, handled himself well during the drills and turned some heads during the on-on-one competition. His ability to return kicks is also an asset that the Tornadoes will take advantage of over the next two seasons.

CLASS OF 2025
Anthony May, Deltona Pine Ridge. Coming a long distance to gain an advantage heading into spring, he and his brother did not disappoint. Was outstanding in testing and the drills, and after learning some new things from all the coaches, he did very well. This is definitely one of the rising standouts in the state and has three more season to make things happen.

Sinorice Moss Jr., Davie Western. Following in the footsteps of his father who was drafted in the NFL and performed in Canada as well, this is someone who has perhaps worked as hard as anyone over the past few months to get in shape and put himself in a position to start to turn heads. While he will have many opportunities during the spring and summer on a contending team to get better, his appearance in Naples was vital. He worked hard during the drills and was never afraid to ask questions and listen. If he continues to improve, this is a student/athlete we will be talking about for years to come.

Brendan Roberts, 5-7, 150, Brooksville Central. One of the fast-rising prospects in the class, who the coaches were impressed with. While his testing was okay, you have to remember that being a rising sophomore, these events are still new – and as many proven and experienced football prospects have been through combine testing and showcases, younger players are still learning. This is one of those prospects we will keep an eye on.
Chance Washington, 5-11, 203, Davie Western. Like his teammate Moss, here is another impressive football player who headed to the showcase with a purpose, and while he is only a rising sophomore, you can see how gifted he is – during testing, drills and when the one-on-one competition took place. As he continues to mature and learn, you will see more of his talent surface.
