Trey Lewis Trey Lewis LB Pierre TF Riggs | 2024 State SD (2023) | 5’11″ 170lbs | RB/LB | Pierre
Trey has great athleticism which helps with his ability to high point the football. Trey made some great contested catches while falling backward. He is also solid in the run game and is utilized well at the goal line by Pierre. Trey hits the holes well and has good quickness and change of direction. Arm tackles do not take down Trey, and it will be great to see how he continues to produce on an impressive Pierre team. I would like to see Trey continue to work on his speed and acceleration to be able to pull away from defenders once he hits the hole.

Patrick Kastning Patrick Kastning 6'9" | 365 lbs | DL Elk Point-Jefferson | 2023 State (2023) | 6’8″ 333lbs | OL/DL | Elk Point
Patrick is a massive human. The other teams recognize this, and sometimes they even designate three blockers for him. He does a great job of playing off of blockers and shedding them to tackle the ball carrier. Patrick clogs the holes well, and opposing teams struggled running his direction in key goal line and 4th downplays.
I would like to see Patrick continue to work on his hands and moves at the line of scrimmage. He was able to make a lot of plays while allowing himself to be blocked. Moves such as a push-and-pull or a swim move could benefit Patrick greatly. These moves will open up his bullrush even more and allow him to be more disruptive.

Tyler Sohler Tyler Sohler 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Yankton | 2023 State (2023) | 6’1″ 175lbs | Slot | Yankton
Tyler was a fun player to watch. His routes are very polished; he does a great job of using body fakes and head fakes at key points during the routes to free him up. Tyler has a great ability to get open. He also has tremendous YAC ability as well. Tyler has good speed, and this paired with his ability to jump-cut allows him to remain untouched in the open field. Another thing that is easily noticed is his awareness and ability to find the football. Tyler made some great contested catches over defenders near the sideline.
I would like to see Tyler keep his speed while navigating the defense during his route. Sometimes he slows down quite a bit to work past defenders, and he would be able to get open faster and help out the quarterback by finding ways to stay fast. The ability to be dominant as a run blocker will also help Tyler continue to excel.

Trenton Peterson Trenton Peterson 5'11" | 180 lbs | ATH Sioux Falls Lincoln | 2023 State (2023) | 5’11″ 180lbs | WR/Slot/ATH | Sioux Falls Lincoln
Trenton can do it all, whether it is blocking, throwing passes, running routes, or whatever else you ask of him. He does a great job of making contested catches. Whether he is being hit or has bodies flying around him, Trenton makes the catch. I loved his ability to get physical and block for his teammates. He is not afraid of contact, and that is reassuring to see out of a receiver. I also noticed his ability to find holes in the defense. He noticed the weakness of the defense, and he would cut his route short instead of continuing it into the defender. Trenton is a smart, physical player that has good potential at the next level.
I would like to see Trenton continue to work on synchronizing his fakes on routes. He will do a nice job of selling the routes with his feet, but the next step is getting the head involved. I would also like to see Trenton continue to work on his open-field moves as well, to continue to improve his YAC potential.

Sullivan Schlimgen (2025) | 6’1″ 190lbs | QB/RB | O’Gorman High School
Sullivan is a younger player that has great potential. He has great size for his age, and he uses it to his advantage. He will truck through multiple defenders at the goal line and deliver a blow. Sullivan is somebody that you do not want to tackle. He played quarterback in the film that I watched, but I see great potential for him as a running back or linebacker with his physical nature. I lean towards running back because of his open-field ability. Sullivan had a couple of nice spin moves, a hurdle, and many more moves that allowed him to break long runs. I think that he can play at the next level if that’s what he decides to do.
However, if Sullivan wants to continue to play quarterback then I would suggest that he continues to work on his passing skills and ability to throw while on the run. This would allow him to become a great dual-threat quarterback that can lead O’Gorman. I am excited to see what he continues to do with more opportunities.
Trace Ortman Trace Ortman 6'0" | 210 lbs | OL Canistota | 2023 State (2023) | 6’0″ 210lbs | OL/DL | Canistota
Trace is a little undersized for an offensive lineman, but wow, that does not stop him from playing physically. He has great explosiveness, which allows him to bring the punch to the defender. He consistently drives defenders 5 yards downfield. He moved well in the pull game as well, and he was able to help create holes for the running backs by moving the defensive players. Trace was also solid on the defensive line as well. I loved his ability to make diving tackles on the quarterback. He also had a solid push-pull move that allowed him to make a play.
The obvious thing for Trace is to continue to put on weight while keeping his speed and explosiveness, as size will be a major factor at the next level. Another thing that I think Trace could improve on is his ability to avoid contact on defense. When rushing the quarterback, Trace tended to try to run through the defender on the path to the quarterback. I would like to see him continue to work on his moves against running backs.

RJ Perry RJ Perry 6'1" | 260 lbs | DL Great Plains Lutheran | 2023 State (2023) | 6’0″ 260lbs | OL/DL/K | Great Plains Lutheran High School
RJ has a great get-off at the line of scrimmage. That paired with his swim move and great hands allowed him to make many plays in the backfield. I also saw a spin move out of RJ that allowed him to make another play, which was surprising to me. RJ’s finesse moves are a thing of beauty. I would like to see him mix in some power moves on the defensive line, but I do not think that it is limiting him currently. He was also a solid run blocker as well. If the defense exposed their chest to RJ, RJ would punish them. Just like on defense, RJ moves extremely well on offense. Whether in the backfield in wishbone or as a pulling guard, RJ moved well and searched for contact. I can see RJ playing either way, but I think that he has the most potential on the defensive line.

Robert Begalka Robert Begalka 6'0" | 235 lbs | OL Deuel | 2024 State SD (2024) | 6’0″ 220lbs | OL/DL | Deuel High School
Robert enjoys the physicality of football, and he goes for pancake blocks every play. This serves Deuel well, as he is often used as a puller in the run game. He does a great job of moving defenders through his speed and ability to run the feet on contact. I like Robert’s ability to move in the open field as a puller. He navigates the line of scrimmage well and can block well at the second level. There are times when Robert does a good job of keeping his pad level low, but I would like to see this become a more consistent part of his game.
I would like to see Robert continue to work on keeping his arms in. There were a couple of plays I noticed where it looked like he was hugging the defender, which could lead to holding calls.
