It was said in the weeks leading up to this past Sunday's Prep Redzone Showcase, there was a lot of talk about how impressive this event would be. Nobody left disappointed.
With a quality group on hand at the Paradise Sports Complex in Naples, prospects came from everywhere in Florida – to further establish themselves as well as jump on to the radar screen.
With college coaches on hand along with people who have years of experience and plenty of college relationships, the order on this Sunday was to give the student athletes a forum and a chance to be recognized, and they were not disappointed.
From Jacksonville, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Orlando and in cities and towns throughout the Sunshine State, it was an event that taught, exposed and highlighted talent in every class.
It was a day to get student/athletes plenty of reps – while parents and supporters came out to take photos and videos and take in the showcase experience.
COLLEGE COACHING IS HUGE
The college coaches truly made the event special – with Patrick Colligan, Jarvis McGarrah, John Klacik and Greg Hayes from Ave Maria – and Alex Gray, Jerome Smith, Greg Cielec and Marquis Smith from St. Thomas University – as well as Keiser University linebacker coach Nick Vagnone among others.

High school coaches also rolled up their sleeves to make the event special.
MAKING A SUNDAY SACRIFICE
As there are so many events this time of year, knowing which ones give you the best opportunity to get on the map take research and time. Events that roll out the red carpet in the spring, but disappear the rest of the year cannot be good for recruiting.
What we do is give recruits a major forum on the website and on social media.
We will be spotlighting many of these prospects all week long, giving everyone a chance to shine!
