As football has progressed, we have seen the passing game evolve at all levels of play. As well, we have seen an evolution in defenses putting more of an emphasis on the pass rush. Big offensive plays, fast defenses are where the game is and continues to head. More and more points are being scored, and the game is seeing a boom in offensive weapons. In part two of this series, we will dive into some players who are looking to make big plays in the 2022 season.

Isiah Kendall Isiah Kendall 6'5" | 180 lbs | WR Newport | 2023 State AR is a man out on that field. His film is a lot of fun to watch! He runs crisp routes, he has great hands, his ball location is second to none, and he uses his big body to his advantage. And did I mention that he has great hands? Kendall is every bit of 6’5″ and 178lbs, and is someone who loves to high point the ball. That being said, he is deceptively fast. Isiah Kendall Isiah Kendall 6'5" | 180 lbs | WR Newport | 2023 State AR has all of the tools to take him to the next level, and scouts love this young man. Kendall is ready to help the Newport Greyhounds make some noise in the 2022 season.

Jacob Gavelis could be the secret weapon that the Van Buren Pointers need. With great size, good hands, and solid speed Gavelis is a danger to any defense. At 6’2″, 210lbs Jacob is not afraid to go up and make a contested catch, and usually wins those battles. His blocking needs some fine tuning, but that comes with reps. Gavelis has the size, and speed that he needs to have on that Pointer offense. He could be a sneaky weapon for Van Buren in the ’22 season, and adding another vertical threat is right up the Pointers’ alley.

LJ Robins LJ Robins 5'11" | 165 lbs | WR Greenwood | 2024 State AR is coming off of a very successful 2021 season for the Greenwood Bulldogs. The 6A All-Conference wide receiver’s 1,212 all-purpose yards had an enormous impact on the offense and proved to be a major headache for opposing defenses. Robins had 72 receptions, 898 receiving yards averaging 12.4 yards per catch, with 7 touchdown receptions. Along with the passing game, LJ proved himself dangerous in the special teams as well. He had 12 kick returns for 307 yards returned. Robins proved himself invaluable to the Greenwood Bulldogs offense. And rightfully so; he runs crisp routes, he has great hands, and his 4.6 40-yard dash helps him leave his opponents behind.

When you watch Walker White Walker White 6'3" | 200 lbs | QB Little Rock Christian | 2024 State AR ’s tape, you feel like you’re watching something special. White has great touch when he needs to, while still having an absolute rocket of an arm. He can fit the ball in a tight window, as well as help his receivers create some separation with a floater. Walker is 6’3″ and 210lbs, and there is no question of hand size with White being that he has 10.25″ mitts. This young man can play, and he makes Little Rock Christian a headache on the schedule for any opponent in the 2022 season.
