We also have seen plenty of camps and recruiting scholarship offers going out this week to numerous prospects. It was a busy week for Prep RedZone Arkansas as well releasing the April updated 2023 prospect rankings, which I encourage you to check out as well. Meanwhile, lets look at some of the prospects making some news this week.
Garyt Odom Garyt Odom 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB Fayetteville | 2025 AR -Quarterback-Shiloh Christian-2025
The busy offseason has continued for Shiloh Christian quarterback Garyt Odom Garyt Odom 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB Fayetteville | 2025 AR . Odom has an accurate arm and terrific pocket awareness. He knows when to escape the pocket and use his legs to pick up a first down. However, Odom does a good job of keeping his eyes down the field looking for a receiver to make the throw to. On March 28th, Odom picked up a scholarship from North Texas. Keep an eye on Odom his recruiting is really starting to take off.
Isiah Kendall Isiah Kendall 6'5" | 180 lbs | WR Newport | 2023 State AR -Wide Receiver-Newport-2023
Isiah Kendall Isiah Kendall 6'5" | 180 lbs | WR Newport | 2023 State AR is one of the most talented wide receivers in the class of 2023. That fact is extremely clear when you look at the busy recruiting week that Kendall had this week. The playmaking wide receiver picked up scholarship offers from Arkansas State, Air Force, and the University of Indiana. Kendall has been tearing up the 7-on-7 camp circuit over the past few weeks, and I would expect him to receive more scholarship offers over the course of the offseason.
Amarie Rodgers-Tight End-Maumelle-2023
The Maumelle tight end is one of those prospects that has started to open some eyes this offseason. Rodgers was impressive last weekend at the Dallas Pylon 7-on-7 tournament, and he received more honors this week. The Maumelle Hornet received a scholarship offer from the University of Tennessee-Martin on March 31st. Rodgers is a prospect that I expect to continue to attract recruiting attention over the next six months.
Malachi Henry Malachi Henry 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR Van Buren | 2023 State AR -Wide Receiver-Van Buren-2023
The wide receiver class for the class of 2023 is an impressive one. Henry is one of those wide receivers that will catch every pass thrown in his direction. He has excellent hands and great speed. Henry picked up a well-deserved scholarship offer from the Air Force Academy earlier this week. Henry is a wide receiver that I expect to receiver several more scholarship offers over the course of the offseason.
DeAndra Burns DeAndra Burns 5'11" | 150 lbs | WR El Dorado | 2023 State AR Jr.-Wide Receiver-El Dorado-2023
From a speed perspective, DeAndra Burns DeAndra Burns 5'11" | 150 lbs | WR El Dorado | 2023 State AR Jr.is one of the most explosive wide receivers in the state of Arkansas. Burns Jr. already has a scholarship offer from the University of Arkansas. He added to his stack this week. Burns Jr. received three scholarship offers this week. Tennessee-Martin, Austin Peay, and Arkansas State all extended scholarship offers this week. The El Dorado wide receiver is a prospect that I expect to wind up with more offers over the course of the next few months.
