Manatee Looks For Turnaround

<strong>BRADENTON MANATEE</strong><strong> 2022</strong> Manatee <strong>Head Coach:</strong> Jacquez Green <strong>2021 Record:</strong> 2-7 <strong>THE HURRICANES</strong> Lets face it. If you follow high school football in the state of Florida, you know that it is very rare that Bradenton Manatee finishes below .500 – let alone 2-7. With that in mind, there has been a major push to change the course of the Hurricanes – with plenty of work being put in during the off-season – as some of the past successes of this storied program have been put into focus. The thing that stings the most is the six straight losses to start the season put this program in a situation they haven’t been in for decades – if ever. The fact that they scored just five touchdowns in those games certainly illustrated that it was time to go back to the drawing board, and they have. Finishing the year with two wins in the last three games gave many of these younger players and the coaching staff a reason to look forward to 2022. Remember, in the five seasons prior to 2021, this program finished 8-2, 8-5, 8-5, 5-4 and 7-4, and were in the state playoff hunt each season.
