Forrest City offensive lineman Elijah Hardin Elijah Hardin 6'7" | 370 lbs | OL Forrest City | 2023 State AR fits that description perfectly. He is a prospect that has already earned all-state honors and is looking to have an even stronger season this season. In today’s article, we are going to take a look at the talented Forrest City offensive lineman.
Looking first, at Hardin’s play on the football field. Hardin has solid footwork and explodes out of his stance. He is able to neutralize most opposing defensive linemen at the point of attack. Hardin has an excellent mix of power and speed. Hardin excels at running blocking and has no problem clearing a path for his running backs. From a pass blocking perspective, he can overpower opposing pass rushers and pancake the pass rusher.
All prospects have goals from individual perspective as well as from a team perspective and Hardin is no different. In our conversation last week, Hardin discussed wanting to continue to get faster and work on his speed. Hardin is continuing to focus on getting stronger, to mix with his speed. At 6’7” and 370-pounds, Hardin has the size that offensive line coaches love to work with. He is a determined and intelligent young man and I fully expect him to accomplish those goals.
Meanwhile, the team goals that Hardin has in mind are some that can be accomplished as well. Hardin wants the team to build the all-important chemistry. Chemistry can get teams through a long season of practices and games and Hardin knows this fact. Hardin has taken on a leadership role which is proving to be a good example for the younger players coming up through the ranks. The final goal that Hardin would like to accomplish is to make a deep playoff appearance. All of the team goals can be accomplished this season as well.
Hardin is a prospect that coaches will want to keep an eye on this offseason. He will be attending several camps in Missouri and Central Arkansas over the next few weeks. My advice is to take a long look at his film and reach out to Hardin. He has the potential to play on Saturdays in the future. I look forward to seeing what he will accomplish this coming season, I expect another all-state caliber season!
