Deltona Searches For A Winning Season

<strong>THE WOLVES</strong>
Before the start of the 2021 season, there was a sense that if everything came together, it would be a special year.
But getting out of the gate 0-3 – with losses to Daytona Beach Seabreeze, DeLand and Daytona Beach Mainland saw this team score just one touchdown, and that sense of optimism started to fade.
Just as the team started to feel sorry for itself, there was a stretch of five game, where they would collect wins against Port Orange Atlantic (43-0) and rival Deltona Pine Ridge (39-0) – as well as wins against Orlando Freedom (19-13) and Tampa Freedom (19-13), but the final two games of the season turned around what could have been a winning season.
As they began spring practice, this program once again has a sense that if things go right, what got away in 2021 could once again emerge in 2022.
