Yesterday, we started the process of evaluating some of the top receiving options that the Class of 2024 has to offer. Today, we move on to the second leg of that process with two wonderful wide receivers and a pair of terrific tight ends. [player_tooltip player_id="299625" first="Jacob" last="Jones"], 5'9, 160 pounds, Wide Receiver, Andrean [player_tooltip player_id="299625" first="Jacob" last="Jones"] found ways to contribute as a sophomore for Andrean. Now, he has set himself up nicely for big things heading into his junior season. Last season, Jones caught 15 passes for a total of 142 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Jones found ways to contribute to the cause. He accounted for 14 tackles and one pass defense. [player_tooltip player_id="299625" first="Jacob" last="Jones"] is a prospect who appears to be on the cusp of a breakout season. [player_tooltip player_id="109630" first="Brinn" last="Robbins"], 5'10, 160 pounds, Wide Receiver, Lafayette Central Catholic Similar to Jones, [player_tooltip player_id="109630" first="Brinn" last="Robbins"] can make an impact on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Robbins is a sure-handed receiver who can make plays on the perimeter. Defensively, he serves as a disciplined safety. Robbins is an excellent tackler. He can also set the team up well as a kickoff returner. Last year, Robbins recorded 11 receptions for 180 yards and one touchdown. At safety Robbins turned in very impressive numbers. He recorded 60 solo tackles and 100 in total to go along with three tackles-for-loss. Robbins had a pair of interceptions, six passes defensed, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. [player_tooltip player_id="109613" first="Aidan" last="Steinfeldt"], 6'5, 220 pounds, Tight End, Bloomington North [player_tooltip player_id="109613" first="Aidan" last="Steinfeldt"] is an exciting prospect who can give defenses serious matchup problems. Steinfeldt has the athleticism and versatility necessary to play tight end at a high level. Steinfeldt is a reliable pass-catcher who can create serious issues for the opponent after the catch. He has the speed to run away from defenders in the open field, but he is also a menace to try to tackle. He can break tackles and fall forward for additional yardage. Steinfeldt is effective in the flat and when running routes down the field. On top of all that, the Bloomington North star man can help out his teammates as a solid blocker. [player_tooltip player_id="141104" first="Tysen" last="Smith"], 6'4, 220 pounds, Tight End, Bloomington South [player_tooltip player_id="141104" first="Tysen" last="Smith"] can line up as a tight end, wide receiver or outside linebacker, giving his coaches plenty of options about how to utilize his skillset. Smith appeared in eight games for Bloomington South's varsity squad this past season. During those games, he set the stage for what could be a big junior campaign for him. Smith made half-a-dozen receptions for 57 yards as a sophomore. At outside linebacker, he totaled 35 tackles- 20 of which were solo. He showed that he can have a presence in the backfield as well. He recorded a pair of sacks with eight quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and one pass defense.
