With such a deep and talented 2022 class across the state, there are still many uncommitted prospects capable of playing at the college level. Here's a look at some of the top DB prospects still available.
[player_tooltip player_id="162038" first="Thomas" last="DeChesaro"], DB, Saguaro D1
DeChesaro racked up the stats and accolades as a senior being voted First Team All-State and 5A Safety of the Year with 95 total tackles, 43 solo, three interceptions, and nine PBU’s. He’s a smart and savvy athlete with the speed and range college coaches look for in a safety prospect. The game comes naturally to him with great instincts, anticipation, and awareness in both coverage and run support. Flashes a smooth transition, plus change of direction, and good acceleration/leg drive out of his break. Good eye discipline, he sees the whole field and processes his keys to read and react quickly putting himself in position to make a play. Strong open field tackler that is tough and physical at the POA. Holds a handful of college opportunities including PWO to Iowa State and Colorado State but whoever lands him is getting a steal.

[player_tooltip player_id="42852" first="Tavian" last="Dennis"], DB, Desert Vista D1
Dennis is an explosive and versatile defensive playmaker. As a senior, he finished with 78 tackles, 6 PBU’s, 2 sack fumbles, and 5 TFL’s. Equally effective in run support as he is in coverage he shows the ability to play as a deep cover safety or come down in the box as a nickel or edge rusher. Good all around speed and athleticism, he plays fast and shows good burst/acceleration in the short area. Strong with his technique and his eyes to make smart and decisive reads, he’s patient but triggers quickly in response. High effort player that brings violent contact on every play. Smart with his attack angles and plays the ball well in the air. Holds 10 total offers from San Diego State, Ottawa, Avila, Simpson, and several other D3/NAIA programs.

[player_tooltip player_id="161938" first="Myller" last="Terameau"], DB, Saguaro D1
Terameau is a versatile DB prospect that has the skillset and positional flexibility to effectively play any spot in the secondary. He’s an impressive natural athlete with good lateral agility, speed, and fluidity in his hips. He shows good reactionary quickness and ability to plant and drive on the ball out of his backpedal. Plus ball skills, he tracks the ball well and flashes good timing and leaping ability to aggressively break up passes at the catch point without drawing a flag. Strong 1on1 open field tackler that drives through contact and wraps up to the ground. Transferred from Apopka HS in Florida to Saguaro for his senior year where he’s collected offers from NAU and Alabama A&M so far.
