Under Armour Next MS Camp, Baltimore: Top Performing QBs

Under Armour Next MS Camp, Baltimore: Top Performing QBs

I had the pleasure of attending and covering the UA Next Middle School camp in Towson, Maryland this past weekend. Although I primarily scout talent out of the state of Pennsylvania, the UA Next MS camp provided a ton of talent from multiple states, talent that deserves to be covered at length. In this piece, I will break down some of the strong quarterback play I saw from the group consisting of 6th-8th grade stars. Rocco Williams | 6'0, 183 | QB | Pickerington North | 2026 In my opinion, Rocco put on the best performance of any QB at this camp. You can only learn so much from watching on-air throws and drills, so an in-depth report on this kid's game won't be found here. I can still say I left the camp with an impression made. I'd like to begin with William's pre-throw package. His overall mechanics, delivery, footwork is all so clean and crisp, so much so that I can tell he and his coaches have put time into his growth in this area. He makes every throw look effortless thanks to his fluid motion and good hip flex. Often had to remind myself that he's in 8th grade. Loved how Williams took to the outstanding coaching staff at the event, took pointers but didn't seem rattled by any drill or route thrown his way. Calm demeanor, was the most accurate QB at the camp despite the ridiculous wind. Was hitting wheels and flies to kids in stride that he just met. Shows that he has an advanced level of understanding defensive leverage, often exposing bad LB or CB positioning during 1v1s. I was as impressed as a scout could be at an event like this. Hope to see this young man continue to develop. Saeed Williams Jr. | 6'0, 160 | QB | Mount Zion Prep | 2026 Saeed Williams was equally as impressive. Heard rumblings around the camp about how great of an overall prospect the young man is. His build is solid and toned, a camp like this doesn’t necessarily show off dual-threat capabilities. Yet the young man had looked smooth and full of burst during testing. Went through drop back and footwork drills with ease. Displayed a quick flick of the football too. Saeed took home MVP honors for his position, something that was very much deserved. Nothing at this camp seemed too big for him. He’s another prospect I hope to cover in the foreseeable future. Braeden Palazzo | QB | West MS | 2026 Xavier Brookins | QB | Sudbrook MS | 2026 Tristan Sabb | QB | Home-Schooled | 2027 The next three prospects showed off different traits that left an impression on me. For Palazzo, it’s clear and evident that his size at this age is a huge plus when considering his future development. Not sure if his measurables but from a glance I wouldn’t be surprised to hear he stands at 6’2+, 180 pounds. His size doesn’t define him as a prospect, but it sure makes him stand out. Xavier Brookins doesn’t have Palazzo’s size but I absolutely love his arm strength to size ratio. This kid can rip the ball through the wind. Coaches in the know say he’s got the potential to be the next great dual-threat QB out of his area. To be a “Dual-Threat”, you’re going to need to throw the ball, this kid can do that. Love the torque he put on some throws in drills. Tristan Sabb showed great coach-ability throughout the event. Noticed him take criticism and pointers from the coaching staff and bounce back correcting his mistake. Also like his overall accuracy throughout the myriad of drills he went through. Smooth and on time on digs, curls and slants all camp. Would love to dive deeper into his game.
