Braeden Stull Braeden Stull 6'2" | 170 lbs | QB Scottsbluff | 2023 State NE (2023 – Dual-Threat QB/DB) | Scottsbluff | 6’3″ 175 lbs
Scottsbluff’s Braeden is an exciting QB prospect in the 2023 class. Stull took over the QB1 role for the Bearcats and led a very explosive offense that averaged 39 points per game. Braeden plays in a run-heavy offense and only attempted 101 passes, but he was able to complete 54% of them for 963 passing yards, with 7 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. One aspect of his game that is underrated is his decision-making and the ability to read the option. He knows when to hand it off to stud ’24 RB Sebastian Boyle, and he knows when to tuck it himself and gun it… and man can he gun it. Stull is a smooth runner with great acceleration and balance. Braeden added 1,089 rushing yards and 20 rushing touchdowns on top of his passing production. Stull’s dual-threat ability allows the offense to really open up and attack in many ways. Stull’s athleticism doesn’t end there, as he is also a very sticky cornerback on defense. He doesn’t shy away from physicality and has the speed and fluidity to maintain pace with anyone. Keep an eye out for Braeden; he’s a player that should see a huge stock rise with some strong showing this spring and summer!
Tairen Rahe Tairen Rahe 6'0" | 170 lbs | DB Lincoln Southwest | 2023 State NE (2023 – DB) | Lincoln Southwest | 6’1″ 175 lbs
Physical, physical, physical. That’s the biggest takeaway from Tairen’s game tape, his physicality. Tairen does an excellent job staying in the receiver’s face, usually the other team’s top receiver, and using his hands to disrupt passes and the offense’s tempo. Rahe racked up 18 tackles, an interception, and he had 7 pass breakups to show how good he is when the ball is in the air. Rahe is a very fluid athlete when in coverage, as he can change direction quickly, he can flip his hips, and has great closing speed. He also has good length to his frame and can maintain contact with the receiver throughout the route. When the ball is in the air, Tairen is fearless and will try to make a play on the ball. Southwest has an elite 2023 class that could surprise many people this year, and Rahe’s presence in the secondary will be a huge contributor to their defensive success. After watching Tairen’s tape a few more times, I think he is due for a jump in the rankings.
Conor Connealy Conor Connealy 6'3" | 225 lbs | DL Mount Michael Benedictine | 2023 State NE (2023 – DL/OL) | Mount Michael Benedictine | 6’3″ 225 lbs
Conor is a beast in the trenches for Mount Michael Benedictine. Connealy is a bruising, up-and-coming player that can play offensive tackle and defensive end. He is relentless on the field that loves contact and bringing the pain. On the defensive line, he totaled 35 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and a batted pass during a strong junior campaign. Conor is a fighter in the trenches and uses his strength and anchor to set an edge on rushing plays. He has sneaky athleticism that seemed to catch tackles off guard and in the dust, as he was able to use his bend to and close speed to make plays in the backfield. It would be interesting to see what Conor could do with his athleticism in a OLB/edge type role. Regardless, Conneally is a player that you have to game plan around because of his ability to shut down one side of the line. Big expectations for Mr. Connealy, and he has all the tools to exceed them!
Max Hogan Max Hogan 6'3" | 270 lbs | OL MIllard North | 2023 State NE (2023 – OL/DL) | Millard North | 6’3″ 270 lbs
Max is a player that I’m excited to see get back on the field. The Millard North guard was limited to 4 games due to injury but gave us more than enough film to get a sense of the type of prospect he is. Hogan is a tough and rugged player with tons of explosiveness and great lateral quickness. He is a bulldozer on pulling plays, where he gets his wheels kicking before exploding through the defender with his powerful punch. Hogan also does an excellent job maintaining low pad level and gaining leverage on his opponent. He managed to get several pancake blocks by using his leverage and strength. Max is the type of player you love to have in your interior offensive line because he loves to be physical, initiates contact, and plays through the whistle. I expect the offers to start rolling in once he gets some more tape in the books.
Aric Thomas Aric Thomas 6'3" | 195 lbs | WR Omaha South | 2023 State NE (2023 – WR) | Omaha South | 6’3″ 195 lbs
Aric had a huge breakout season in 2021 and should continue to build on this momentum in his senior year. Thomas is in the top 5 among returning receiving yards leaders after he went off for 33 receptions, 731 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns for the Packers. Thomas is a tall, lengthy receiver with a huge catch radius, and he does a good job using every bit of his range by using body adjustments to make difficult catches. He has good moves after the catch and has excellent acceleration when he hits the open field. Thomas’ hands might be among the best in this year’s group of receivers, as he uses his big mitts to catch the ball away from his body and bring it in to secure it. Overall, Aric is a very athletic receiver with great instincts, elite hands, and should begin to turn more heads along the recruiting trail.
