There are so many West Michigan RBs that deserve significant recognition. Today, I’ll list five running backs that I expect to turn heads this Fall, and because of this, I want to see each of these athletes in person. Now, here are five running backs I’d like to watch this Fall!
<strong>Mona Shores RB [player_tooltip player_id="243089" first="Dahmir" last="Farnum"]</strong>
Farnum is an absolute animal with a very high ceiling. He’s a great size at 5’9 190lbs, and he sports impressive athleticism + balance. I can only imagine how great Farnum will be after a hopefully great offseason under his belt! Look out for significant matchups against teams like Rockford and Manitowoc.
<strong>West Catholic RB [player_tooltip player_id="159621" first="Timmy" last="Kloska"]</strong>
An absolute monster, Kloska is the high school version of Derrick Henry, a comparison I do not make lightly. I’ve talked extensively about the prospect, but in general, he’s a powerful back with a D1 ceiling. Kloska will be a beast against the OK-Blue, though he’ll be able to prove himself most in the postseason, which I fully expect West Catholic to make.
<strong>Forest Hills Central RB [player_tooltip player_id="253230" first="JT" last="Hartman"]</strong>
I was very impressed by Hartman during FHC’s early-season stint against Grand Blanc. Todd Hartman is FHC’s running backs coach, which is an excellent sign for Hartman’s overall progression.
<strong>Belding RB <a class="uni-link--implied" href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/10214083">Jack Ward</a></strong>
A prolific wrestler, Jack Ward is an awesome running back for one of the top teams in the OK-Silver. He’s an excellent option in the T-Wing offense, and he’s built to take punishment during a long season. He solidifies his spot as a great two-way player who is a very well-rounded athlete.
<strong>West Ottawa RB <a class="uni-link--implied" href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/16528814">Kayden Forbes</a></strong>
The only class of 2025 guy on here, Kayden Forbes, is a young back with a great opportunity. You don’t see a freshman RB starting on varsity very often, and when you do, sometimes they grow into primer prospects. Forbes seems to know only one speed - full. Forbes’s power, speed, and general effort are something to be excited about heading into this Fall.
