Building a college roster is about more than just finding the players with the highest overall ratings. Successful recruiting involves finding players who are great fits for a program’s scheme. This article will highlight eight offensive sleepers from each position who possess the necessary qualities needed to be legitimate additions to recruiting boards. [player_tooltip player_id="153139" first="Garrett" last="Sauer"] | Windsor | 6’3”, 210lbs | QB Sauer is a quarterback who is beginning to see an uptick in his potential as a recruiting prospect. He has good form in his drops and a strong arm with quick releases. He has excellent awareness and can maneuver well in and out of the pocket. Sauer is also a strong runner who can pick up extra yards with his legs whenever he is flushed out of the pocket. [embed]https://twitter.com/GarrettSauer1/status/1505376901455618056?s=20&t=Cvs9ghYyN-8mzAex32UEyg[/embed] [player_tooltip player_id="309620" first="Kade" last="Smith"] | Legacy | 6’2”, 265lbs | Center Smith is a center with quick snaps and accurate ball placement. He is fast out of his stance and quick to engage defenders. He is a powerful player with great technique who is unstoppable when down blocking. Smith is capable of chipping engaged defenders before quickly working to the second level and moving linebackers out of the way for the running back. [embed]https://twitter.com/KadeSmithLhs69/status/1457865856680173583?s=20&t=Cvs9ghYyN-8mzAex32UEyg[/embed] [player_tooltip player_id="150153" first="Jackson" last="Clancy"] | Erie | 6’2”, 260lbs | OG Clancy is an offensive lineman with top-tier potential. He has good strength and awareness with a fighter’s mentality who finishes his blocks with power. Clancy is coming off of an ACL injury that sidelined him early into his junior season, but now he is back to work with the intention to get back to the top. [embed]https://twitter.com/jackson_clancy/status/1426588006341771268?s=20&t=Cvs9ghYyN-8mzAex32UEyg[/embed] [player_tooltip player_id="309621" first="Owen" last="Lee"] | Legacy | 6’5”, 270lbs | OT Lee is a solid tackle who has a big frame and incredible athleticism. His base has a ton of strength, and he has fast and powerful hands. He is quick out of his stance and flashes excellent techniques and awareness, especially when picking up stunts. Lee is a player who checks off all of the boxes, making him a must-watch player. [embed]https://twitter.com/OdiggityFB74/status/1488196101442351111?s=20&t=Cvs9ghYyN-8mzAex32UEyg[/embed] [player_tooltip player_id="218214" first="Brycen" last="Mhlanga"] | Littleton | 5’10, 205lbs | RB Mhlanga is an under-the-radar player poised to have a breakout season this fall. He has a solid frame with great size and strength. He displays excellent vision, explosive cuts, and breakaway speed. Mhlanga is a versatile running back who is highly effective as an extra blocker and receiver in the passing game. [embed]https://twitter.com/BrycenMhlanga/status/1486451076274561029?s=20&t=Cvs9ghYyN-8mzAex32UEyg[/embed] [player_tooltip player_id="22765" first="DeAndre" last="Horn"] | Rock Canyon | 6’4”, 215lbs | TE Horn is a player whose name should be circled on every recruiting board. He has excellent size, strength, speed, and athleticism. He runs routes like a receiver and carries the ball with the strength of a power back. Horn is an elite player with premiere talent who will not hold a sleeper status for much longer. [embed]https://twitter.com/RCHSFootball1/status/1500271264484794373?s=20&t=Cvs9ghYyN-8mzAex32UEyg[/embed] [player_tooltip player_id="289489" first="Ace" last="Malone"] | Castle Rock | 6’3”, 180lbs | WR Malone is a big target who is powerful off the line and a legitimate deep threat because of his breakaway speed and ability to win one-on-one jump balls. He has strong hands and a wingspan that gives him a wide catch radius. Malone is a player with great size and physicality who is just as willing to block in space as he is to go up and snag the ball out of the air, making him a player to watch this fall. [embed]https://twitter.com/acemalone23/status/1488978995869728768?s=20&t=Cvs9ghYyN-8mzAex32UEyg[/embed] [player_tooltip player_id="169501" first="Dylan" last="McCollough"] | Regis Jesuit | 5’11”, 175lbs McCollough is perhaps the biggest sleeper on this list. His releases are explosive, his routes are shifty, and his catching abilities are impeccable. He has excellent speed and hand-fighting skills, helping him create space from defensive backs. McCollough is a playmaker set to have a breakout season this fall. [embed]https://twitter.com/DylanMcColloug3/status/1414433438908633088?s=20&t=Cvs9ghYyN-8mzAex32UEyg[/embed]
