I felt the increased need to start this article at around 11:25 PM to see how many prospects across my region of states which includes: Minnesota, Dakotas, and Kentucky Prospects. Note, by midnight I hammered out eight prospect evaluations from all over the region from Russellville, Kentucky all the way up to Aberdeen, South Dakota! Take a look at who made the list.
Kaydon Custard | QB | Harrison County, KY | 2024
- Kaydon shows great elusivness when pressure comes and he needs to get out of the pocket. His ability unload a deep route with persistent pressure is fun to watch.
- This young man has elite awareness even on special teams! His second play on tape sells a punt return that turned nothing into something real quick.
- Kaydon shows a calm demeanor inside the pocket and with a couple more years under his belt with development, could grow strong in creating a stronger stance with his throws with growing his pocket presence.
Tate Link Tate Link 5'9" | 195 lbs | RB Dassel Cokato | 2023 State MN | LB/RB | Dassel-Cokato, MN | 2023
- Tate is not the biggest linebacker you will ever see on the field, but man this kid carries a big motor that is to watch the intensity he plays with.
- His high physicality level causes plenty of noise in the turnover department for the Chargers, must be that solid wrestling background that made it to state in 2022!
- Tate carries loose hands that can shed off blocks in a quick wince of time, allowing him to stay elusive to make a play on the ball carrier quick.
Ryan Rayno Ryan Rayno 6'3" | 190 lbs | RB Logan County | 2023 State KY | RB| Logan County, KY | 2023
- A big physical running back (6’3 190) that runs downhill at a significant rate of speed.
- Ryan shows sound agility to make his cuts inside and then when he hits the open field, his burst breaks out nicely.
- Ryan’s long striding ability with the length of his lower body, make him a foot race you do not want to try and chase when he finds an opening.
- Certainly a RB prospect that should gain some college football attention during prospect camps this summer.
Dylan Langerock | WR | Brandon Valley (SD) | 2023
- I really bought into the Dylan’s long range he can stretch into (6’3) as WR prospect can play elusive from the start, to get his separation quickly.
- This young man understands how important it is to pave the way for his teammates even without the football. Dylan shows he does a solid job of progressing up the field and shows to be fearless to throw a block or two when the Lynx put together their rushing attack.
- Certainly will be a ranked PRZ Dakotas prospect by before the start the 2022 season.
Hayden Groos | QB | Sioux Falls O’Gorman | 2024
- Hayden can develop more poise inside the pocket, however he shows good zip on the football when making tough throws on the run on intermediate routes.
- Shows a consistent touch ball that allows his wide receiver to do some damage himself, which is especially seen on his shorter route throws.
- I love watching QBs when they use their vision to see an opening by throwing their hand up! Hayden shows that potential on a couple plays on his game tape.
Ugonna Okeke | DL | Woodbury, MN | 2023
- Love this young man’s significant bend at the line, as it sets him up strongly to get early leverage on the offensive linemen.
- This kid has a significant punch that he can load up and drive a defender out his way to meet the RB/QB into the backfield.
- Ugonna has really quick hands with his shedding ability, and seldomly on tape you see a runner get past the 2-3 yard mark which just shows how much a workhorse this young man is!
Jett Carlson Jett Carlson P Aberdeen Central | 2024 State SD | WR | Aberdeen Central (SD) | 2024
- Jett is a significant long wide receiver that has some raw skill with his route running ability, but his ability to extend his hands will develop soundly over the coming years.
- He provides good consistency as a pass-catcher, as he has durability to take the tough hit with plenty of contact.
- I hope to see more film out this young man this Spring from his 2021 season!
Jon Greig | SB/FS | Spectrum (MN) | 2023
- Jon works his speed with plenty of momentum out of the slot position. His stamina is really what caught my eye, as his downhill running ability with that burst is fun to watch!
- As a pass-catcher, Jon shows off the ability to adjust quickly to get his positioning aligned to make a precise catch on the football, which shows excellent balance around the sidelines.
- This young man places with a lot of energy on intermidate and deep routes, and should see an increased amount of touches for the Sting in 2022.
- With some more development growing his size in the weight room, I could see this young man be a solid small-school prospect at the next level.
