By no means is this list a sure thing, finalized or complete. It will be updated twice more before the end of August 2022. Again, these are not rankings nor are they an end-all, be-all lists. These are the prospects that we have seen, that stand out to our team.
Below, we’ll take a look at Part 2 of the class of 2026 California prospects, labeled as wide receiver prospects, that are currently on the Watch List.

The 6-foot-1, 165-pound is a big-play threat as he does a good job getting separation from the defense. He’s quick, twitchy and has the ability to pick up tough yards after the catch. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound is a playmaker. He excels at both receiver and in the return game. He’s deadly in the open field and has big-play ability every time he touches the ball. He’s got great speed, vision and ball skills.
Daniel Odom Daniel Odom 6'2" | 180 lbs | WR St. John Bosco | 2026 State CA | Wide Receiver
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound receiver loves to put on a show. He displays great high-pointing ability, makes one-handed catches and has a non-stop motor. He does a good job changing route direction to try and get open before the play completely breaks down.

Olmande does a good job fighting through contact and picking up yards after the catch. He shows good concentration skills and the ability to make contested catches.

The 5-foot-9, 135-pound receiver is a crisp route runner who does a good job finding the holes in zone coverage. He’s got fluid hips, is quick in and out of his breaks and has a knack of finding the football.
Beau Smigiel Beau Smigiel 6'2" | 180 lbs | WR Newbury Park | 2026 State CA | Wide Receiver
The 6-foot, 160-pound uses his strong route-running skills to help create separation. He’s a sure-handed receiver who has big-play potential.
Jonah Smith Jonah Smith 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Santa Margarita | 2026 State CA | Wide Receiver
Smith is a versatile receiver who can line up anywhere on the field. His coaches do a good job getting him in motion to help keep the defense on their toes. He’s a homerun threat anytime he touches the ball as he displays good speed and agility in the open field.
Vance Spafford Vance Spafford 5'11" | 175 lbs | WR Mission Viejo | 2026 State CA | Wide Receiver
For what Spafford lacks in speed he makes up with his technique. He’s fundamentally sound, runs great rounds and has a good understanding of how to set up the defense. He’s got soft hands and does a nice job in space.
Madden Williams Madden Williams 6'2" | 180 lbs | WR St John Bosco | 2026 State CA | Wide Receiver
The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Williams is a sure-handed receiver who has a great catch radius and soft hands. He runs crips routes and does a nice job getting separation from opposing defenders.
