The Prep RedZone Next class of 2026 Watch List Vol. 2 was recently released. This is a list of prospects, not yet in high school, that look to project to play at the FBS/FCS/Division 2 levels in the future. By no means is this list a sure thing, finalized or complete. It will be updated twice more before the end of August 2022. Again, these are not rankings nor are they an end-all, be-all lists. These are the prospects that we have seen, that stand out to our team. Below, we’ll take a look at Part 1 of the class of 2026 California prospects, labeled as wide receiver prospects, that are currently on the Watch List. [player_tooltip player_id="212221" first="Ja’Myron" last="Baker"] | Wide Receiver A UA Next AllAmerican, Baker has great body control and the ability to make contested catches in traffic. He does a good job getting in and out of his breaks and is versatile enough to be moved around on the field. [player_tooltip player_id="283634" first="Kayden" last="Brooks"] | Wide Receiver The 5-foot-9, 150-pound receiver has an excellent feel for getting open. He’s got good straight-line speed who can break away and make big plays in the open field. Played his youth ball for the LA Rampage. [player_tooltip player_id="283595" first="Cash" last="Bryant"] | Wide Receiver The 6-foot-1, 165-pound dual-sport standout has good size for his age. He’s not the fastest on the field but he uses his height to his advantage as he can outjump smaller defensive backs. He’s got soft hands and uses good body control during contest catches. [player_tooltip player_id="283594" first="Carlton" last="Conston"] | Wide Receiver Conston shows great athleticism with high-level quickness and speed. He’s quick off the line, is tough to jam and smooth in and out of his breaks. A little undersized at this point, but he will only continue to get bigger. [player_tooltip player_id="212216" first="Christian" last="Davis"] | Wide Receiver Davis, who is 5-foot-9 and 150-pounds, does a great job creating separation. He’s a strong route runner who has soft hands and great ball skills. He’s got great concentration as he’s able to make contested catches at all levels. [player_tooltip player_id="212224" first="Joey" last="Gear"] | Wide Receiver Gear is a sure-handed receiver who has the ability to help his team move the chains. He does a good job getting in and out of his routes and has the ability to pick up chunk yards after the catch. [player_tooltip player_id="283637" first="Kenneth" last="Moore III"] | Wide Receiver Moore is a great route runner who has sure hands. He’s quick in and out of his breaks, doesn’t let the ball get in on him and does a good job picking up yards after the catch. He excels at all three levels and has the speed to beat defenders deep. [player_tooltip player_id="212228" first="Ksani" last="Jiles"] | Wide Recevier The 5-foot-10, 160-pound receive has great size for his age. He’s very quick and fluid out of his breaks and has the ability to take the top off the defense. He showcases great body control, especially when fighting through a defender to make contested catches. Recently announced he'll be attending IMG academy for high school. [player_tooltip player_id="283628" first="Jeron" last="Jones"] | Wide Receiver Jones is a dynamic playmaker who has the ability to move the chains. He does a good job creating separation from defenders and is a homerun threat with the ball in his hands. AJ Rangel Jr | Wide Receiver The 6-foot-2, 160-pound receiver has a 31-inch vertical and has been clocked at a 4.68 40-yard dash. With his size and speed, he’s a vertical threat who can take the top off a defense. He does a nice job high-pointing the ball and getting yards after the catch.
