Preview of Players to Watch at Dallas Pylon Tournament

The 7-on-7 circuit has been heating up over the past few weeks. Dallas will be the center of activity this weekend. The state of Arkansas will be well represented this coming weekend at the Dallas Pylon 7-on-7 tournament. We are going to look at some prospects to keep an eye on in this tournament. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75137" first="Jabrae" last="Shaw"]-Athlete-Little Rock Mills-2023</strong> One prospect that has been on a role since the 7-on-7 circuit started is [player_tooltip player_id="75137" first="Jabrae" last="Shaw"]. Shaw has a knack for making plays on both sides of the ball. On the offensive side of the ball, he uses his speed well to create separation from opposing defensive backs. Meanwhile, on the defensive side of the ball is a nightmare for opposing wide receivers to separate from. Shaw is one player with the potential to have a big tournament in Dallas. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="133157" first="Landon" last="Jones"]-Wide Receiver-Lonoke-2023</strong> To say [player_tooltip player_id="133157" first="Landon" last="Jones"] has excellent speed is a bit of an understatement. He has the ability to turn a short pass pattern into an explosive one. Jones does a great job of creating separation by using his speed. He has a big opportunity to put his speed and pass catching ability on display this weekend. He is a prospect that continues to impress in 7-on-7 play. Davis uses his impressive speed to give opposing wide receivers plenty of problems. Davis showed that he could pick off passes during the regular season and has the opportunity to open some eyes this weekend in Dallas. Davis is a tackling machine and a player to watch out for during the 2022 football season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="278904" first="Zamarion" last="Wilson"]-Defensive Back-Hot Springs-2023</strong> Wilson is a tenacious defensive back that causes plenty of problems for opposing quarterbacks and wide receivers. In 2021, Wilson picked off four passes and made 44 tackles on the season. He has developed into a defensive back that quarterbacks tend to avoid throwing at. The Hot Springs defensive back has a chance to terrorize plenty of quarterbacks and wide receivers this weekend in Dallas. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="155329" first="Bryce" last="Perkins"]-Quarterback-Van Buren-2024</strong> Over the past few weeks, Perkins has shown that he can play any position ask of him. He has the speed to create separation and his routes are extremely smooth. Irvin III is a prospect that has the ability to explode on to the scene in Dallas this weekend. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="201147" first="Anton" last="Pierce"]-Defensive Back-Little Rock Mills-2023</strong> Pierce has been lighting up the 7-on-7 circuit over the past few tournaments, and I do not expect that trend to stop this weekend. Pierce is a player that can make plays on both sides of the field. However, his play sticks out on the defensive side of the ball. He can highpoint the football better than most wide receivers.
