Prep RedZone Arkansas has focused on prospects that will be added to the list in the next series of updates over the past few weeks. The great thing about doing this job is being able to come across new talent on a daily basis. We are going to look at some wide receivers that will be making an appearance on the 2024 updates.
Lawson Worthey Lawson Worthey 6'3" | 215 lbs | ATH Greenbrier | 2024 State AR -Greenbrier-6’3” 185-Pounds
Worthey is a prospect that uses his athletic ability well to create separation from opposing defensive backs. He does a terrific job of hauling the ball in and making tough receptions look easy. Worthey is a player that can stretch the field and in the process create explosive plays. Greenbrier has one of the most talented receiving corps in the state of Arkansas. I expect a big season from the versatile Worthey in 2022.
Jordan Green Jordan Green 6'1" | 170 lbs | WR Warren | 2024 State AR -Warren-6’1” 170-Pounds
In a town that is known for producing quality wide receivers, Jordan Green Jordan Green 6'1" | 170 lbs | WR Warren | 2024 State AR is another wide receiver from Warren that continues the big play tradition that the position is known for through the years. He has excellent separation; he can put a defensive back on his heels quickly. Green can play the outside receiver spot or the slot with equal effectiveness and he is going to cause plenty of headaches for opposing defenses this coming season.
Peyton Phipps Peyton Phipps 6'2" | 175 lbs | WR Springdale | 2024 State AR -Springdale-6’2” 175-Pounds
The Springdale wide receiver is a player that the coaching staff can line up all over the field. Phipps has impressive speed that allows him to create separation from opposing defensive backs. He has the potential to be a big play threat for the Bulldogs over the next few years. The versatility that Phipps has is what makes him a wide receiver that college coaches are going to want to keep an eye out for in 2022. Look for Phipps to have a big season in 2022.
Carter Holman Carter Holman 5'10" | 160 lbs | WR Shiloh Christian | 2024 State AR -Shiloh Christian-5’8” 143-Pounds
Holman is one of those receivers that runs extremely crisp routes. He is very aware of where he is on the football field at all times. Holman has good hands and does not drop passes. He creates impressive separation via his route running and is someone that is only going to continue to improve. Holman has the potential to light up opponents on Friday nights in the future. The Shiloh Christian Saints have built a machine in Springdale and both Holman and Shiloh should have strong seasons.
Zric Washington-Watson Chapel-6’0” 173-Pounds
Zric Washington is a threat to make a play on both sides of the ball. Washington is one of those type of players that does not mind doing some of the dirty work. Washington uses his athletic ability to create separation. He has impressive versatility that allows him to play special teams, safety, and the wide receiver positions. The potential that Washington has is impressive and I look forward to seeing him play in 2022.
