Often times when evaluating an offensive lineman, we evaluate the OL in its entirety. Individuals on an offensive line are generally judged by the overall success of the unit itself. In this article we are going to take an in-depth look at four young men looking to help lead their teams to success in the 2022 season.

Hunter Marshall Hunter Marshall 5'8" | 245 lbs | OL Farmington | 2024 State AR #60 C/G 2024
Farmington Cardinals
Farmington, AR
Hunter Marshall Hunter Marshall 5'8" | 245 lbs | OL Farmington | 2024 State AR is a 5’8″, 245lb center/guard who runs a 40-yard dash in 5.6 seconds. Hunter has the power and speed off the ball that scouts love. His high motor is constantly running hard until that whistle blows, usually ending with him helping his opponent up from off of the ground. There are even some plays that I have watched from last season that shows him blocking one player into another, completely disrupting the defensive line. Where Hunter lacks in footwork, he makes up in upper and lower body strength. Simply put, the young man is a mauler.

Randall “Tank” Davis #74 OL 2024
Wynne Yellowjackets
Parkin, AR
Randall “Tank” Davis is a force. With his 5’10″, 305lb frame he simply imposes his will on the opponent. With his 5.75 second 40-yard dash he has the quickness, and raw power that sets him apart from the rest. Tank never takes a play off; he is always going until he hears the whistle. He seems to thrive in the run game, mauling over his opponents with ease. His pass protection needs polishing but that, along with the footwork, will come with time. This young man aptly nicknamed Tank relies on his power, simply he is a mauler. By the very definition of the word.

Roy Hudson Roy Hudson 6'1" | 260 lbs | OL Charleston | 2023 State AR #52 Guard 2023
Charleston Tigers
Charleston, AR
Roy Hudson Roy Hudson 6'1" | 260 lbs | OL Charleston | 2023 State AR is a man amongst boys. Hudson’s 6’2″, 265lb frame sets him apart from his competition, and rightfully so. Roy is quick off the ball, he never gives up on a play, he has a high motor, and IF he misses one block he will not miss again. While playing some time at defensive tackle, I really feel that Roy is at his best when at the guard position. His length gives him an advantage in the interior, especially when run blocking, and his quickness helps him get to the next level with ease. Roy Hudson Roy Hudson 6'1" | 260 lbs | OL Charleston | 2023 State AR is a “dude” on that field, he is a mauler.
Matthew Colvin #76 G/C 2023
Clarksville Panthers
Clarksville, AR
Matthew Colvin is a mauler, through and through. Imagine a 6’3″, 310lb guard who runs a 5.3 second 40-yard dash. Now imagine that guard pulling to your side as a defender, Colvin getting a running start as you are just getting off of the ball. Now imagine waking up with your face in the dirt. Matthew Colvin is a “dude.” Matthew has the size and the speed that scouts love to see in offensive lineman, and he uses it to his advantage.
