Over the past few years, the Lake Hamilton Wolves have been one of the most consistent teams in the state of Arkansas. The Wolves finished the 2021 football season with a 9-3 record. With talented players returning for the 2022 season, Prep RedZone Arkansas is going to take a look at the Lake Hamilton Wolves. Let’s take an early look at the Lake Hamilton Wolves.
The Lake Hamilton offense is one of the most physical offenses in the state of Arkansas. Much of the offensive attack that the Wolves use is based on having a strong running game. Look for sophomore quarterback Easton Hurley to see some snaps at the quarterback spot. Hurley threw for 236 yards and two touchdowns last season. Hurley also picked up 23 yards on the ground last season. He is a player that will have the opportunity to earn some snaps in 2022.
Meanwhile, the rushing attack is one of the state’s best. Junior running back [player_tooltip player_id="223617" first="Justin" last="Crutchmer"] will return for his senior season. Crutchmer rushed for 1,225 yards and 15 touchdowns a season ago. He is a running back with the potential to earn all-state honors in 2022. Crutchmer mixes a good blend of power and speed in his running style. Junior [player_tooltip player_id="75145" first="Kendrick" last="Martin"] is a running back that can run around opposing defensive players or run through them. Martin accounted for 730 yards and five touchdowns in 2021. The rushing attack will be a strong focal point for the Wolves this season.
The receiving corps will see some action and will keep opposing defenses from stacking the box to stop the run. Both Crutchmer and Martin are impact players when it comes to catching the football as well. Hurley will line up at the receiver position at times and will keep the defense from stacking the box. Lake Hamilton has a creative and powerful offense and are an offensive team that is fun to watch.
The Wolves defense is an aggressive group that swarms to the football. Defensive back [player_tooltip player_id="275515" first="Aydan" last="Easter"] had 32 tackles a season ago and can make life extremely difficult for opposing wide receivers. Juniors Izic Clennev and Jamarrion Byrd are two linebackers that are always around the football. Both Clenney and Byrd swarm to the ball and can disrupt the opponents rushing attack. The defense has the potential to cause plenty of headaches for the opposing offenses next season. Lake Hamilton is a team with the potential to make a deep playoff run in 2022.
