There were so many dynamic passers in the state of Virginia last season, and many of these athletes were underclassmen. We will take a look at who some of the statistical passing leaders are who are returning for another season. [player_tooltip player_id="157098" first="Jordan" last="Dennis"] | 5’9’’ 165 lbs | South County High School | Class of 2024 Dennis, the 3rd ranked Quarterback and 24th ranked prospect in the state, was 2nd in passing yards as a sophomore last season among all classes. He led all underclassmen with 3,016 passing yards, completed 212 passes on 339 attempts for 62 percent completion. He also led the entire state in passing touchdowns with 37, had only 9 interceptions, and had a QB rating of 116.6. [player_tooltip player_id="290136" first="Daniel" last="Lipovski"] | 6’ 185 lbs | Lake Braddock High School | Class of 2023 Lipovski is the top rated Quarterback in the class of 2023 and the 15th ranked player in the state. He was named 1st Team All Region and All State Honorable Mention. The Lake Braddock junior threw for 2,654 passing, went 155 for 270 and completed 57 percent of his passes, finished 31 touchdowns, 9 interceptions, and had a QB rating 115.3. He recently received an offer from the University of Delaware. [player_tooltip player_id="295018" first="George" last="White"] | 6’1’’ 195 lbs | E.C. Glass High School | Class of 2023 White passed for a total of 2,379 yards and completed 152 of his passes on 256 attempts for 59 percent. He also threw for 29 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, and passer rating of 111.8. White led E.C. Glass to a 8-2 record during the regulars season, was named 1st Team All Region 4D, and 1st Team All Seminole District. Camden Brewer | 6’1’’ 185 lbs | Blue Ridge Preparatory High School | Class of 2023 Brewer, who is also a star basketball player, led Blue Ridge to a 6-3 regular season. He doesn’t have the accolades and notoriety that some of he’s counterparts have received, but he certainly has the production. He threw for 1,942 passing yards, went 116 on 181 passing attempts for 64 completion rate, scored 24 touchdowns, with just 9 interceptions, and had an astounding 119.1 QB rating. [player_tooltip player_id="127618" first="Cody" last="Shelton"] | 5’10’’ 190 lbs | Manchester High School | Class of 2023 Shelton is the most efficient returning passer in the state. He finished last season with a 129.7 Quarterback rating, threw for 1,640 yards, completed 90 passes on 141 attempts for 63 percent, had 16 touchdowns, and only threw 4 interceptions. His superior production is why he is the 3rd ranked QB in the state, and could make a case to move up in the rankings. He also received his fair share of honors, being named to the All Region Team and All Metro Team. It is also worth noting that Shelton has a stellar 4.3 GPA. Connor Lange | 6’2’’ 200 lbs | North Cross High School | Class of 2023 Lange is one of the top Dual Threat Quarterbacks in the state of Virginia. He threw for 1,523 yards in the air and ran for over 500 yards on the ground. Lange is not just an athlete who can make plays with his legs, he is one of the more prolific passers in the state. He has the 2nd highest passing rating among returning QBs with 119.7, and completed 124 passes on 190 attempts for 65 percent. He also was responsible for 22 passing touchdowns and only had 4 interceptions. The North Cross junior led his team to a 10-2 record before losing in the State Championships to Atlantic Shores Christian. Lange was also named 1st Team All State and 1st Team All Conference.
