Washington still has a good amount of 2022's that are still looking for a home in the fall. Here's a look at five DB's that remain uncommitted: [player_tooltip player_id="87340" first="Stephen" last="Mars"], 6’1" 175lbs, Graham-Kapowsin [caption id="attachment_260847" align="alignright" width="300"] Photo: Prep Redzone[/caption] Mars is one of the most under looked players in the state, and will be a gem for whichever program lands him. He plays fast as he displays solid instincts with nice range to process the play quickly. Good range and speed and comes downhill well to provide good run support. Fast and physical player with great technique in all phases of the game, as he also possesses good ball skills with a solid football IQ providing him with natural ball hawk ability. He’s drawn interest from Cal, Washington, and Oregon but remains non offered and uncommitted. Ben Hunter, 6’0" 160lbs, Emerald Ridge Hunter’s production as a ball hawk was off the charts this season, leading the state of WA with 8 INT’s. He even totaled 2 defensive TD’s on the year which included a pick six and a FR for a TD. He lined up at both FS and CB for Emerald Ridge, but did his best work patrolling the back half of the field and playing that center field position, showing off his range. Good route recognition when manned up on opponents with fluid hips and a nice break on the ball as well. No official offers, although Pacific Lutheran has shown strong interest. [player_tooltip player_id="151879" first="Trey" last="Stokes"], 6’2" 200lbs, O’Dea Stokes is a very underrated and technical DB that deserved much more attention in the recruiting process. He sizes up with a stout frame and build and has showcased good strength at the POC when fighting though blocks and as a tackler. He shows a good understanding of zone responsibilities and leverage, as he did a great job breaking up those contested catches down the deep third of the field. Good speed all-around as he can flip the hips and run with receivers. [player_tooltip player_id="151958" first="Ty" last="Faker"], 6’3" 185lbs, Bellarmine Faker could be listed as a top available WR as well, as his athleticism gives him the tools to succeed on both sides of the ball at the next level. He lined up at CB for Bellarmine and did a great job with play rec, blowing up numerous screens. Physical at the POC to fight and shed off blocks which aided in his ability to disrupt the screen game, and he also did a solid job eating up ground and providing run support. Good length within that 6’3" frame with nice ball skills to go along with it. He holds offers from Willamette and John Carroll. https://twitter.com/Ty_Faker/status/1491286233573920771?s=20&t=6369kEvyc-p90vay3KAmaw [player_tooltip player_id="151956" first="Carson" last="Brown"], 6’2" 170lbs, Aurburn-Riverside Brown's stats won't "wow" you, but he is an example of a kid that does the little things right. Good technique at CB with potential to develop into a solid DB at the D3-NAIA level. He did his best work in man coverage as he likes to press receivers at the LOS. Did a good job overall of keeping them at arms length without lunging, and flashed the ability to get hands on them and create that delay in timing. He currently holds one offer from George Fox.
