Under Armour held it’s annual camp at Calvert Hall College High School in Baltimore this past weekend, and many of the top athletes from around the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area were present and ready to compete. The Defensive Back group was one of the more loaded groups with talent, and they made it extremely difficult for the receivers all day. Here are some of the Top DBs from the DMV area who won MVP, earned an All American Game invite, and were Top Performers.

MVP
[player_tooltip player_id="146209" first="Dante" last="Lovett"] | 6’1’’ 185 lbs | Dematha High School (MD) | Class of 2023
Lovett was one of the camp’s MVPs this past weekend. He’s had a pretty active weekend, coming fresh off of a flight from a visit at the University of Florida to attending the UA Camp in Bmore. He moved very well coming in and out of breaks, has fluid hips, and exceptional speed. His recruiting has been heating up, but I suspect it will kick into overdrive now that Camp MVP has been added to his resume. He has already received an offer from Marshall after the camp, and currently has other offers from Charlotte, Morgan St, Boston College, Buffalo, Cincy, Kent St, Toledo, Arkansas State, USF, and Akron.
All American Invites
[player_tooltip player_id="146638" first="Rohan" last="Davy"] (5’10’’ 190 lbs) from St . John’s (DC) earned an invite to the 2023 UA All American Game. Davy has offers from Appalachian, ODU, Louisville, Akron, Delaware, NC State, Kent St, and Toledo. Another DMV player who earned an invite to the 2024 UA All American Game after the camp was [player_tooltip player_id="157078" first="Asaad" last="Brown"] (5’11’’ 165 lbs) from Oscar Smith High School (VA), the 6A State Champs. Brown, who was named as an All American as a Freshmen and Sophomore, has multiple offers including one from Virginia Tech.
[player_tooltip player_id="249417" first="Braydon" last="Lee"], a Class of 2024 DB, from C.H. Flowers High School (MD) was another player who received an All American Invite. Lee’s recruiting has been on fire since the start of the year, and he has accumulated approximately 20 offers. UNC, NC State, Pitt, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Alabama, Penn State, Ohio State, Duke, Wisconsin, Liberty, and Texas A&M are just some of the suitors.
Top Performers
Colin Gil (6’ 190 lbs) from St John’s in Washington, DC was one of the Top Performers who caught my eye. He looked very good in drills and won the majority of his reps during 1v1s. He has offers from UConn, Dartmouth, Toledo, Grambling, Kansas, and Howard. Another athlete who caught my eye was, [player_tooltip player_id="273395" first="Faheem" last="Delane"], a 6’3’’ 185 lbs Class of 2025 DB from Good Counsel High School (MD). He competed very well in 1v1s, has great size, and was arguably the best Freshmen DB on the day. He already has a Power 5 offer from Boston College.
[player_tooltip player_id="90660" first="KP" last="Price"] (6’2’’ 185 lbs), from Calvert Hall College High School (MD), is a Class of 2023 who showed great hips and the ability to break on balls quickly. I recently wrote another article about Price (see 5 Elite Players in Baltimore), and he shows to be consistently elite every time he touches the field . [player_tooltip player_id="172225" first="Ify" last="Obidegwu"] from St Frances (MD) is already committed to the 2024 UA All American Game. He is another player who dominated in 1v1s, and won the most of his reps. He has offers from Memphis, Colorado, PSU, Virgina Tech, Temple, Toledo, Ole Miss, Bowling Green, Boston College, Liberty, WVU, UConn, Maryland, and Marshall.
Class of 2024, [player_tooltip player_id="265641" first="Judah" last="Jenkins"] (5’11’’ 175 lbs), from Good Counsel (MD) and 2023 DB, Antonio Cotman (6’3’’ 190 lbs), from Life Christian Academy in Virginia were a couple of other DBs who performed well. Along with 2023 DB, Josh Stinespring (6’ 170 lbs), from St Paul’s School (MD) who received All MIAA Conference honors last season and is currently receiving interest from Georgetown.
