With spring quickly approaching, now is a good time to look ahead to the players who will be looking to step up next year. The Class of 2024 features an underrated quarterback group who will be looking for breakthrough seasons as juniors.

As a sophomore, [player_tooltip player_id="189126" first="Toryn" last="Day"] displayed the potential that he has. Day is an athletic quarterback. He uses his legs well and has great mobility. Day can make plays and keep the offense moving. He shows great composure. Day can improvise and extend plays, all the while keeping his eyes down the field. [player_tooltip player_id="189126" first="Toryn" last="Day"] has a lot of up side and can be a big-time player next fall.
[player_tooltip player_id="109611" first="Lucas" last="Plummer"], 6’3, 170 pounds, LaVille
[player_tooltip player_id="109611" first="Lucas" last="Plummer"] had a solid sophomore season, setting the stage for big things in 2022. Plummer connected on 46 of his 110 passes for 624 yards. He threw seven touchdown passes and just two intercpetions. Plummer is a serious running threat. He ran for 459 yards and eight touchdowns last year. Plummer is a defensive contributor as well. He recorded 29 tackles and one interception. Plummer also handled a lot of the kicking and punting duties. As a punter, he was excellent at pinning teams inside their own 20-yard line, doing so on 17 occassions.

[player_tooltip player_id="189112" first="Owen" last="Smith"] gave McCutcheon fans plenty of reason to be excited for the seasons ahead. He completed 54 of his 114 passes. Smith racked-up 667 yards through the air. He threw four touchdown passes and six interceptions. [player_tooltip player_id="189112" first="Owen" last="Smith"] is a player to watch out for. Look for Smith to take a huge step forward next season.
