During his Sophomore West’s recruitment blew up with offers from the likes of Michigan State, Indiana, and Penn State. This offseason he added Ohio State and Michigan. West is a compact explosive corner. He’s physical with wide receivers and he’s physical in the run game. He plays with a little edge which I like. Bryce will continue to add Power 5 offers this offseason as he continues to look narrow down his schools of choice.
Aaron Scott Jr Aaron Scott Jr 6'1" | 160 lbs | DB Springfield | 2024 State OH (Springfield) 6’1 160- Scott is a long athletic corner. Whether he’s locking down receivers on the football field or dunking on the basketball court it’s easy to see why he’s loved by D1 Power 5 coaches. Beyond his physical traits, he’s skilled and disciplined in his technique. Springfield has two of the top 2023 wide receivers in Ohio which provide excellent competition for Scott to hone his skills. Aaron started really started to come into his own in his sophomore season and his recruitment has blown up this offseason with offers from the likes of Georgia Tech, Kentucky, and Tennessee. I expect Scott to pick up a lot of P5 offers this offseason as he hits the camp trail.
Koy Beasley Koy Beasley 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB LaSalle | 2024 State OH (Lakota West) 6’0 180- To play as a sophomore let along start as a sophomore at a football power like LaSalle speaks to the talent the Beasley possesses. You see him lined up frequently in the deep centerfield and he’s just so comfortable. That comfort level comes from his speed and ground that he can cover. One area that Koy can continue to grow and develop at, is his ability to assist in the run game. As he continues to fill out and get stronger, I have no doubt that he’ll become much more of a presence in stopping the run.
Reggie Powers Reggie Powers 6'1" | 195 lbs | DB Centerville | 2024 State OH (Centerville) 6’0 180- Powers is a talented strong safety. He does a great job in his run fits, is a skilled blitzer, and can also cover. His versatility is very impressive and will make him very valuable at the next level as he’ll be able to be a chess piece for a college defensive coordinator will be able to move around and keep offenses off balance. I think Powers could start to attract D1 interest this offseason.
Zach Jones Zach Jones 6'1" | 180 lbs | DB London | 2024 State OH (London) 6’1 180- Jones is a physical in the box safety. He’s really strong in the run game. He does a great job of firing gaps and making plays behind the line of scrimmage. He does a great job of taking the underneath pass away. He plays well in space and if you’re a wide receiver you better have your head on a swivel. I’m excited to see Jones continue to get stronger and develop as a defender.
Corey Myrick Corey Myrick 6'2" | 155 lbs | DB Colerain | 2024 State OH (Colerain) 6’2 155- Myrick is the long type of defensive back that is in demand in college football. He takes good angles to the ball and shows good ball skills when defending the pass. Corey is willing tackler in the run game. Myrick received his first offer this offseason from the Central Michigan.
