Rankings have been completed for classes 2022-2025, early signing day has passed, and we’ll be in the thick of the offseason soon. Over the next few weeks, we’ll dive back into the rankings to highlight the top prospects still looking for a college program to call home.

[player_tooltip player_id="136028" first="DJ" last="Linkins"]

Linkins is by far one of the top if not the #1 WR prospect still not committed out of Maryland. At 6’4 195lbs he has the perfect size for any D1 program in the nation. His length is perfect for those back of the endzone passes in the redzone, his long arms allow him to keep the ball out of the defenders reach. DJ is a great deep ball threat; he shows breakaway speed and good contested catching ability. His run after the catch ability is exactly what you want out of a big-bodied receiver, he fights for extra yards and is rarely tackled by 1 defender, he also possesses the speed to outrun DBs to the endzone. Linkins runs his routes very smooth, avoids wasted movement and covers ground.

[player_tooltip player_id="90507" first="Marcus" last="Johnson"]

Johnson is exceptionally powerful and very aggressive. His talents are highlighted the most during run blocking, demonstrating great mobility and enough speed to lead the ball carrier around the corner. He looks great as a pulling guard, pairing his aggressiveness and athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id="137054" first="Shon" last="Reid"]

Reid shows good awareness and play recognition, allowing him to knife straight to the ball carrier or put himself in position to make a play on the ball. He delivers the contact taking on lead blocks and on tackles showing his on-contact explosiveness. Reid’s a versatile linebacker, aggressive and strong enough for middle and athletic and fast enough for an outside linebacker. Offensively he is a bowling ball out of the backfield. Knocks defenders back like pins when lead blocking, his impact blocking is impressive. As for carrying the ball he is a tough tackle for anyone trying to bring him down without targeting his legs. He pushes the pile for as many yards as possible as long as he’s on his feet. Wouldn’t describe his speed as breakaway, but he can break off chunk runs if his speed isn’t accounted for.

[player_tooltip player_id="90626" first="Andrew" last="Jacobs"]

Jacobs is a 1-on-1 mismatch. I had the opportunity to scout Jacobs at the Offense-Defense 7on7 tournament at Towson University where he played for Team Static out of Prince Georges County. Unless he was double teamed Jacobs was a big play waiting to happen. If he was man covered and the single receiver you could bet that he was getting the ball and coming down with it. I spoke to Andrew a few times during the tournament, he’s a very humble and fun-loving player, you could see the joy on his face in that atmosphere. He’s a sparkplug, at 5’10 190lbs his game reminds me of [player_tooltip player_id="172212" first="Elijah" last="Moore"] WR for the Jets or Deebo Samuel WR for the 49ers. He high points the ball and carries the ball like a scatback after the catch. He demonstrates impressive agility and shiftiness making defenders miss and in his route running too.

[player_tooltip player_id="244012" first="Conor" last="Becks"]

Becks has a naturally talented leg, he’s only been kicking for a little over a year now, but he shows accuracy by kicking from various spots on the field and also demonstrates some power in kicking drills. Becks won player of the game against Archbishop Curley in a game highly affected by the weather. He was perfect on extra points and made 2 field goals of 25 and 30 yards to clench the game for the Dons. In his film he shows that he has the leg power to make 40+ yard field goals from each spot on the field. A naturally talented kicker with a high ceiling, who is still young in his kicking experience like Becks could be one heck of a lifeline for a college program.
