Prep Redzone 2024 Defensive All-Trench Team

<span style="font-size: 24pt;">T</span>he majority of student-athletes who earn playing time for their varsity football team as a sophomore have the potential to play on past high school. <span style="font-size: 1rem;">However, t</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">his is not always the case, which is why l stated that the "majority" of athletes actually have playing potential beyond high school. That is not the case for the honorees of my 2024 Defensive All-Trench team. These sophomores listed made my "All-Trench" team because they all precisely fit the mold of exactly what a contributing sophomore is. There are a few common qualities that I search for in student-athletes that make the All-Trench team. First of all you have to play in the trenches. Meaning. Football players that play in the trenches are athletes that play on or around the line of scrimmage. These prospects who play with their hands in the dirt make up the large percent of guys who are deemed to play </span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">"</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">in the trenches". That being said, linebackers and outside linebackers are included in the scout selection process when searching for worthy prospective prospect.
