DL – Corbin Knapp (Pine River-Backus High School)
The district DL of the year led the district with 5 sacks and was a force up front for the Tigers Defense. Knapp stands 6’3″ and weighs in at 215lbs, he is also a state ranked wrestler, which shows up frequently on the field. He has great flexibility and understands how to use leverage to control his gaps. This c/o 2023 player is sure to turn some heads next season.
DL – Alex Hart (Polk County West)
Playing primarily as a stand up DE for Polk County, Hart was tied with Knapp for the district lead in sacks with 5. Hart does a good job of controlling his gap and being physical at the point of attack. Hart plays with a good motor and is a sound tackler.
LB – Gaabi Boucha (Warroad High School)
Boucha is a downhill/physical LB who has no problem finishing tackles. He is at his best when he is able to come straight downhill without side to side movement. When he makes a hit the offense definitely feels it. Boucha showed his ability in the pass game as well with 3 INT’s.
LB – Zeke Noel (Lake Park-Audubon High School)
Noel was second in the district with 58 total tackles on the season. Noel is able to play sideline to sideline and does a good job of keeping his feet moving and driving through tackles. Noel was a lone bright spot for the Raiders this past fall.
DB – Braxton Qual (Mahnomen-Waubun High School)
Qual had 2 interceptions on the season but showed good hips and an ability to mirror routes in coverage. Qual is unafraid to come up and make tackles which is rare for a CB. The Thunderhawks had a solid defense this past fall and Qual was a key cog in helping make their pass defense one of the best in the district.

Spaeth is wiry and quick CB who has solid click to close ability. His quick twitch skills show up routinely when the ball is in the air and I fully expect him to improve his interception numbers over the next few seasons.
