In its seven-year history athletes have received nearly 8,000 Division 1 scholarship offers. NextGen All-America Showcase camps have quickly become one of the nation’s most respected Middle School and High School Underclassmen Showcase Camps.
Here is a look at the Offensive prospects in the class of 2026 and 2027 that stood out to us.
Jose McCutcheon | New Mexico | Offensive Line | 2027
There weren’t many middle school offensive linemen in attendance at the camp, but McCuthceon caught my eye. Possesses big size for just seventh grader at 5-foot-11 and 288 pounds. Still young and doesn’t have that dog in him yet, but he moves decently laterally and wants to be good. Long way to go, but size is something you can’t teach.
Jayden Pico Jayden Pico 5'11" | 175 lbs | QB Liberty | 2026 State AZ | Arizona | Quarterback | 2026
Already on the Prep RedZone Next Watch List, I was excited to get to watch Pico throw live. Was the best middle school quarterback in attendance and earned an MVP award. Threw a beautiful and accurate deep ball that allowed his receivers to make a play on the ball every time. He will be attending Shadow Ridge High School next year.
Julian Hainley Julian Hainley 5'8" | 160 lbs | QB Cienega | 2026 AZ | Arizona | Quarterback | 2026
Hainley had a pretty nice afternoon at the camp. Had advanced mechanics and looked comfortable dropping back. Threw a tight spiral on shorter and intermediate routes. He’s got a decent build on him but is only 5-foot-7 and 148 pounds right now. Needs to get in the weight room to improve arm strength on deep balls, but has mechanics and potential.
Calvin Gagon | Utah | Quarterback | 2026
Liked what I saw out of Gagon during the afternoon in Vegas. Promising size at 5-foot-11 and 160 pounds. Played this past season for the Westlake Thunder. Has a pretty strong arm for being in the eighth grade. Can tell he’s fairly raw but finds success at the position. Needs to correct throwing motion to improve accuracy down field. Undecided on high school at this point.
Michael Cruz | Arizona | Wide Receiver
A regular season teammate of some of the other top performers on both sides of the ball, Cruz caught my eye during individual drills. Accelerated and decelerated quickly, while keeping good body control and a forward lean. Also liked his footwork and ability to cut sharply and not round off at the top of his routes.
Deshawn Clark | N/A | Wide Receiver
A shorter, smaller receiver Clark is a prospect with some good length in his limbs. Didn’t do anything at an elite level, but did a lot of things at a pretty good level. Displayed above average athletic ability at the position and showed very good quickness and change of direction ability. Appeared to be able to fight off press coverage well when tested by corners.
Kodee Ray | Nevada | Wide Receiver
One of the bigger middle school receivers in attendance, Ray has a pretty good build for just being in the eighth grade. Moved more like a tight end than a receiver in drills. Stands every bit of 5-foot-11 and 160 pounds. Has been well-traveled this off-season participating in a number of camps, combines and all-star games.
David Rushing | Arizona | Wide Receiver
In my opinion, the best middle school prospect at the camp–by a wide a margin. Just in seventh grade, he stands 5-foot-9 and 140 pounds and has very long legs. Extremely smooth in and out of breaks and runs exceptionally crisp routes. Great bloodlines to boot; Dad played at Florida, older brother is a 4-star recruit and oldest brother is a ’22 Oregon commit. Has the potential to be best of them all.
